MK closing early

I know this isn't a camping question, but we're campers ......!

Wanted to have one of our park days on May 31 for daughter's 12th birthday. When we looked at hours yesterday it said "Magic Kingdom is the most recommended Park with the 7pm close due to a private U.S. Travel IPW event. "

What is a private US Travel IPW event? They're cancelling parades and fireworks too. Bummer for a fun birthday day!

Guess we'll make it a fort play day.

Many groups will book events in parks but usually only the HUGE ones can afford to book the Magic Kingdom.
