MK Closing Early - January 18th, 2011 - 6PM

Just wanted to give everyone a 'heads up' that the MK is closing early -- at 6 PM -- on Tuesday, January 18th. I was also told there will be NO FIREWORKS at the MK on that date. (A Disney CM called me directly to let me know, due to our having dining reservations at CG later that evening.)

If you have ADRs for after 6 PM at any location inside of the MK, you may need to change your plans and reschedule elsewhere. Also, if you booked Cali Grill, Ohana or a similar location at one of the MK area resorts, with the specific intention of watching the MK fireworks that evening, you may want to look into switching to another night if possible.

For us, it was not a big deal... we are going to CG for the sushi! But I know that others may want to adjust their plans accordingly.

No, I was not told why the park is closing early or why no fireworks. Didn't really matter to me, so I didn't ask either. But this appears to be the only evening in January that the MK will be closing so early and Wishes will not be shown.
