MK bus vs driving to BCV

We went to Wishes on Tuesday night and had a competition. My parents left with the sleepy 7 year old on the BCV bus, and I took the ferry, parking tram and drove back with my 12 yo. It is amazing to see how they move people! There must have been ten thousand people leaving that park and we didn't hit any traffic. The bus made it back two minutes quicker!

Alot of people think it does not make sense to drive to MK but I've done some timings myself and don't think it's much different either because of waiting for the bus plus the stops it makes. I timed it once from our room at OKW, parking at TTC, express monorail, about 20 minutes total to MK turnstiles. This was about 11:00am on a weekday. I figured until you waited for the bus plus the time it takes to make all the stops at OKW, we did better (we were staying in the Turtle Pond area, so the bus had to go to Miller Road and HH before even leaving OKW).

Having done it both ways, I don't think it makes much difference time-wise, either. However, I really don't like being in the middle of the ferry or monorail "crush". Would much rather wait in the lines for the resort buses - there is always more "personal space" for me there.

Actual bus travel times between OKW South Pointe and MK last August: 30, 19, 25, 23, 24, 31 minutes. I'd like to see a bigger sample size for driving it if anyone has one.
