It's been a while and I have lost alot of documents. I knew that in 2006 the MK shoot began in the lobby at 5 or 6 am. Is that correct, or do you enter MK at 5 or 6 am?
Also what is the current price right now?

What time does the Epcot photo shoot begin? And is it still 3 countries? How long does it last?

We did the MK shoot, but not the Epcot one. For MK it depends on the time of year if they have one or two shoots. So the times of 5am and 6am are correct. If I remember correctly, we met the photographer a little before 6 in the resort lobby. The times you are actually in MK are approximate and if no one else is booked, some brides have lucked out and gotten extra time. They do seem to be taking a lot more photos of the brides in the past 4 or 5 months than even last summer when we did ours. There are two packages. One is $1000 and the other is $1200, I believe. Perhaps a more recent bride will comment on this for you, as we were one of the last couples on the "older" plan.

The MK shoot can be at 5am or 6am still. The costs are $1,000 or $1,250. The 1k gets you 20 4x6 pics in an album selected by the photographer. the $1250 gets you 20 8x10 pics in an album selected by you as well as the contact proof book.

I have no insight to Epcot since I have only booked MK. Also, with Disney photography if you buy the rights to your pics on the CD for $750 you get all the pics taken at the weddin gon there as well as yoru MK photo shoot. I am doing an escape wedding and the photography comes with it but we decided to buy the CD since it will be cheaper for us to do albums and such.

You can also ask to select your own proofs for the book if you get the $1,000 package.

Also, that $750 goes down to $350 for Escape weddings if they wait three years to purchase the disc. For Wishes weddings it's $1,000 for the disc right away and $500 after three years. If you don't use Disney for your wedding photography, it's $750 for the disc right away. :thumbsup2

I thought you got all of the proofs (they told me like 50-100) in a 4 X6 size with the $1000 package???

Yes, you get all the 4x6 proofs with both packages, and you get a virtually useless contact book with both. The contact book contains thumbnail versions of all your pix on letter-size pages, spiral bound. The images are so small, you can actually see more detail in the lo-res images on the website Disney gives you.

The only difference between the two packages is the size of the prints they give you in the folio.

So you get all of the 4X6 proofs and then an additonal 20 in a folio?

Correct... although we were told we're only getting 12 prints in the folio. Maybe 20 prints is a new thing?

Ok I am sorry. I am not allowed to post today anymore on no sleep.

It is 12 pics for both
You get the proofs for both which are useless as lurkyloo said

But with the 1000 package you do NOT get to select your pics according to the Disney info I have in front of me and what my planner said. Maybe you can ask permisssion but I was told that it is the photographer that selects. It is very possible that Disney is trying to keep it a secret that they can be **gasp** flexible!...:rotfl:

With the 1250 package you do get to select what goes in your album.

Again- sorry for the confusion- I am on no sleep and I am off tomorrow so I have checked out :rolleyes1

I always try to be accurate when I post so I am super sorry for my screwup :(

Have a great weekend!

Ok so now I am confused....I was told you get prints of all pictures taken in a 4X6 size and then you get the folio with 12 of the best. SO do you get prints of all of them and then the useless proof book too? Or are they one and the same? Cause $1000 (1300 for me since we are adding the Epcot shoot too) seems like alot of money for only 12 pictures!

I would clarify with your WP then. My understanding is that it is the 12 pics in the album and the proof book of all the pics. I never had any understanding that we get pics of all the shots that were taken- that is what the proof book is for....

Maybe someone who has done it can chime in on this? lurkyloo?

It looks like lurky already confirmed you do get the 4x6 proofs below. Yippee! That was never communicated clearly to me by my WP but I also didn't ask for any additional clarification.

OK, here we go:

You get one 4x6 print of each of your photos. They call these proofs.

You get a useless proof book (it's spiral-bound copy paper).

You get 12 photos in an album.

If you ask Disney Photographic directly, they will let you pick the ones you get in the album, even if you "only" paid $1,000. I am not the only one who has been able to do this. ;)

That is what I thought you got! When do you tell them you want to pick your folio pictures?

We're going to let them know which ones we want in the album after we get our 4x6 proofs. :thumbsup2

I didn't know that you didn't get them all at the same time. Who did you arange this with? I need to know so I can pick my 12...LOL

Can you post the link to your MK Photos? Can anyone reading this post thier links too. I want to see as many as I can before November....LOL

I decide to pay the extra to have the bigger shots, that and I thought I had to to pick the shots I wanted. I like the idea of bigger prints though especially if I scan them into cd's for the higher resolution 8 X 10 provides... :goodvibes

When you have both MK and Epcot, can you go from one to the other? Or must you wait inbetween?
If I'm reading right, you get a discount for doing both? Is that standard?
Thank You

When you have the MK & Epcot Photo sessions, you go to Magic Kingdom first to get the Faux Night shots then you go over to Epcot. Like MK from 6-7:30 and them Epcot from 8-9 or so. The total cost is $1300 for both! It was such a good deal I had to do both. You don't need to pick Epcot either you can pick The Studios or Animal Kingdom.
