I heard somewhere that MK was opened all night a few years ago on Memorial Day. Since we'll be there from May 29-June 4 this year is there a possibility it might happen again?

Sadly not this year do to the Shanghai hemorrhaging $ induced budget cuts...
I would of thought had they done a 24 hour party this year they would do it Leap Day like the first one back in 2012. I attended that one as well as the ones in '14 and '15 {in '13 sis was out of town + we had other family things going on}
It appears the 24 hour events have been cut. I think it has nothing to do with Shanghai and actually has to do with crowd control, safety, and the sheer amount of money it cost to have crews do less than 8 turn arounds. That time and a half (or more) that every CM gets when they work over a certain amount and/or work with less than 8 hours between shifts is a ton and I don't think the amount people were spending on food or merch made up for it.

Honestly don't think we would have even gotten one last year if DL hadn't. It was very obvious they put little effort or planning in to it, not even an original theme. It was quite disappointing, no more than EMH.
I do think the 24 hour parties can be profitable if there is appropriate one day only merch and special character appearances. It is a major staffing pain, but occasionally I think it can be worth it.
I would expect that if they do it again, it will be far less frequently, to add to the "specialness".
