On our MK day, we plan to eat breakfast at Ohana before heading to the park as my daughter REALLY wants to meet Stitch. We have a 7:30am ADR. Our party makeup is 2 adults, a 20 yo, and 2 teens. We plan to eat, meet Stitch, and head out. Will we be able to be in MK by 9ish or a little after? We plan to head to Adventureland and Frontierland first, then hit up HM, and hopefully FP SDMT, PP, and Space MTN later in the day. I'll know Monday for sure if I can get those at the times we'd like as that's my FP day .

Does 'Ohana open at 7:30? Every time we've eaten at 'Ohana, we've been seated late, but if they're just opening at 7:30 then (in theory) you'll be seated relatively quickly. I also don't remember where the Poly is on the monorail route to MK, so hopefully someone will bring that up because that's a factor. My feeling is that you'll be in a little after 9, even with rushing through breakfast.

I think the big unknown is meeting Stitch. We eat at Ohana every trip, and there have been a couple of times when we have had to wait almost 20 minutes after eating and seeing the other characters for him to make it over. He is the one character that has a photopass photographer in the restaurant (at least the last time we were there) and it really slows down his progress. It is really depends when he gets to you.

I would allow 90 minutes for 'Ohana breakfast. While you're likely to be seated on time (they open at 7:30, right) the spacing for food coming out can be odd at open, and character rotation can depend on where in the restaurant you sit.

Ask for the check while being seated unless you intend to order specialty drinks.

I would not assume being on the monorail before 9, but it's a quick trip from Poly to MK via monorail, and you'll probably miss the worst of bag check.

Thank you for the check advice. Yes, the hours for that day show open at 7:30. I looked to see if I could get earlier just in case. We aren't worried about being there at rope drop, but hope to be there not too long after opening...we want to take advantage of the couple of not so crowded morning hours. I'm going to try to plan our first FPs starting at 11ish.

Our trick is to check in with with the hostess 10-15 minute story before. That way, you will be among the first to be seated. Since the breakfast is family style and a set menu, you can get a turnaround in as little as 30 minutes if you are on the first part of the character route. Agree with _auroraborealis_ about asking for the check when first seated. Best part of 'Ohana is that it is on the same level and 100 ft from the monorail platform. And the MK is 2 stops away so your schedule will be spot on. Enjoy!

We have pretty similar plans. We have 7:30 ADRs as well. We are at ASSp this trip, but will have a rented car. I think we may drive to the TTC that morning and walk to the Poly. It's my first time finding that walking path so I'm a little nervous I'll get lost and make us late. I don't count on the monorail being open that early, but do intend to catch it to the park.

It really depends on when you're seated, and honesty in our experience O'hana is one of the only places that we often have to wait a good amount before we're seated. The other issue is what order the characters come around. If you're seated on time, and Stitch is one of the first characters to your table and the monorails working as it's supposed to (also something that has issues often - honestly I'd probably take the ferry over), then yeah I think you could be at MK by 9ish, however you'd still have to wait to go through bag check (can be busy at opening) and go through the tapstiles. There's a lot of variables that have a decent shot of not working out in your favor, however if you're really wanting to eat there, doing Adventureland/Frontierland shouldn't be too bad for the first couple hours of opening.

If she's just wanting to see stitch, I'm sure you could find him in a park (he's not nearly as easy to find as Mickey etc.), but I've seen him at MK and AK...you should be able to look up where he's meeting.

Very easy to find! And a very easy, short walk!

Thank you! That makes me feel better. Is there any signage up? Someone recommended we try to park as close to Poly as possible and then walk straight over, but last time we drove they were very specific on where they wanted us to park in the lot. I'm not sure we'll have that option. I'm thinking we'll walk into the TTC area behind that booth/ticket window and walk to the far left. Is that right?

When looking at the TTC- the Poly is to the left. You should see the roofs of the buildings. There is a sign when you get closer to this path that says Poly with an arrow I believe. Can't miss it!

After parking, you will have to walk under a tunnel. They will be directing you to a spot. That early, you will have a spot very close to the tunnel, in terms of number of rows out. However, the rows are very long, and it is pot luck how far down the row you are from the tunnel.

Once you get through the tunnel, you will see the monorail platforms and ticket booths almost directly in front of you. The ferry is right behind those.

To the left of the MK transport options is where you need to go. Not hard to find. Figure a 15 minute walk after parking. So, try and arrive at TTC parking around 7 am.

That begs the question: is TTC parking open that early? Not sure on this, actually.

To the OP: you didn't say if you were driving or taking Disney transport to Ohana (sig says you are staying on site?)

If relying on Disney transport, you'll want to look into whether or not you can get to Ohana that early, or will have to take a cab. I honestly don't know.

I can tell you from experience you will have no problem doing this. Here is what we do and my advice: We stay at a moderate every year and we take a taxi for our 7:30 reservation. We get a taxi at about 7:00 AM from our resort and are there by 7:20. We check in immediately and there are about 8-10 famiies there at this time. At 7:30 the staff comes out and sings a little song to welcome you to Ohana and then they start seating you...very quickly. Once seated, the service begins and the characters come out after about 20 minutes. We see all the characters and are done eating by 8:30. We hop on the monrail get to the MK aat aboout 8:45 and into the park. It is easy peasy and it has always been that way and we have done this for the past 5-6 years. Hope this helps.

We plan to utilize Uber or a taxi to get there early enough. :-)

Really great to hear! We plan to take Uber or a taxi to be there early. So good to hear others do this and have a good experience, also!
