MK after hours event - how has it been?

We went this past Monday and had a blast. We are APs, and had spent some time in HS earlier in the day. We decided to watch Happily Ever After from the Poly beach after having some pork nachos. I think they have improved the speakers on the beach, because the music was clear for the show. It was wonderful as always. Then we took the boat to MK, had one of the most fun captains we've had in a long time.

Once we got to the park, we entered the event entrance and were given our plastic wristbands. It was cool and sprinkling, so we decided to just do CoP and People Mover before the party started. Then we worked our way over to do Haunted Mansion before enjoying our first popcorn, bottled drinks, and ice cream bars of the evening.

I forget the order, but we rode a couple more things before heading to the hub to watch Enchantment at 11:00. There was PLENTY of space around us for the show, which was very nice. I know it didn't get much love when it was every night, but Enchantment has some great moments, so it was wonderful to see it again in such a relaxed setting.

After the show we made a beeline to Tron, along with a LOT of other people. But we still continually moved through the queue, only pausing a minute or two in the last room before the lockers. The ride was great even on a cool night.

By the time we left Tron pretty much everything was a walk-on, and even 7DMT was only about 10 minutes. We didn't last too much longer, but for the diehards who made it until 1:00 am, they would have had the run of the park. Even leaving at midnight, Main Street was very empty, and our resort bus only had 5 people on it (combined All Star bus).

I got a military discount on the tickets, which helped a little, but we are glad we did it. I'd say it's a good choice for ride junkies, night owls, and those who like fireworks (two shows in one night!) and would enjoy the snacks!

You have to check in & get a special event band. Your ticket is linked to your magic band & scanned to get your event band. As the event starts, you show your wrist with the event band as you move land to land & as you get on rides.
Thanks. I figured we did but just wanted to be sure

We are doing After Hours on the 20th. If we are in the park do we still need to check-in somewhere for the After Hours or will it just show up on our magic bands. Thanks
Last year we checked-in and picked up our wrist bands in Tomorrowland in the outdoor queue area for the old Stitch ride. Not sure if it's the same place this year, but there will definitely be somewhere in the park to check-in.

Was Tiana's closed for the AH event?

Is there any talk of adding Tiana’s as the weather warms? Or is not added mean for the entirety of the After Hours events?
