Magic Kingdom hours just changed to 8:00am opening the week I’ll be there 4/12-4/20. What time should I plan to arrive? Will the park open at 7:00?

1. 7:10-ish.
2. Nope. Gates will open 7:45-ish.

If the park hours show 8 am, it'll open at 8 am. They may let people in slightly early, but it definitely won't be 7 am. I would plan to be at the front at least an hour early. That way you can get all of the headliner rides out of the way before the crowds start showing up.

No, the “Main Street open an hour before park opening” setup only applies to 9am park openings. For an 8am park opening, they’ll start letting people in approx 7:45am. The opening show will be on the castle stage at 7:55am, after which the park will be open.
