mixing transferred points with my points, same home resort, different UY

If I receive a transfer that has a December UY, can I combine them with my August UY to make a reservation?

Also, can I borrow transferred points? (pretty sure this is yes, but want to confirm)

Points keep all their same rules even when transferred.

So, Dec UY points remain Dec UY points even when sitting in your Aug UY.

You can use them together for any reservation. To use during home resort, you have to call MS because they don’t work online until 7 months, including when same home resort.

You can borrow transferred points now.

OP - I’ve only done this once.

Bought a different UY resale in ‘23 to add on to what we have @ BWV.

I since it was loaded & price was right & I was using for same resort, was confident I could navigate having a different UY.

I understand it, in principle. Just each time I’ve wanted to transfer points in or out of that account, I’ve blanked out. Afraid I’m going to mess it up somehow & use the wrong points.

My solution:

I book a partial reservation using all the points I want to utilize from the 1st account

Then, I call MS; who works their magic (transferring/banking/borrowing, doing whatever it takes) to complete the reservation.
