Mixed trip - onsite and offsite

We are doing a mix of onsite (RPR) and offsite hotels. We wanted to
take advantage of the FOTL pass, so onsite was a must. However,
we can't stay there the entire time. We are going over Easter weekend
and into the following week. Can anyone recommend a hotel closeby
that is in the budget to moderate range? We will spend very little time
there, just needs to be nice, clean and have a nice pool.

I'll be doing the same thing in July. I'm staying at the RPR from the 21st to the 23rd for the fotl access then I'll be off to a cheaper hotel.

I was doing some research through TripAdvisor.com and I found it really challenging to find a hotel with a decent pool and ammenities for a reasonable price in the area of USF and IOA.

I finally opted to check SkyAuction.com where I won a 3 nt stay at the Rosen Plaza on International drive for $242.00. That same trip through thier website was $679.00 so I saved quite a bit.

I would say to start out by checking out Tripadvisor.com and reading the reviews of the various hotels.
