Bleu: (isn't that the way the French spell Blue?) Of course married women are invited. I was just telling the single girls about the bachelor cowboys. I don't think we have any single guys on the thread, so the only cowgirl that will be there is me. We married people still know how to have a good time, right Bluester?;)

PEEJ: Where you going? Are you challenging my status as the drive by queen?!?!

Liz: I forgot to say that the hair did look very cute. Does Michael like it?:woohoo:

It's almost 10, where are the rest of you guys?

I'm here. Just trying to get motivated to work (and it's been 2 hours). Glad you like my hair. No, Michael hasn't seen it. Haven't seen him since the 12th. But Crystal from the paranormal society emailed me to set up an investigation at my apartment, so maybe he'll be there for that. Unfortunately, I'm sure the purpleness will have faded by then.

Hi Michele!
The phoenixes--mega plural--apparently now are Our Rob's symbol of choice. He has, with great drama & a trumpeting & triumph of many brass instruments; arisen from the cold, dead ashes of his perfidy to incarnate as a far superior-to-us-mere-mortals, resplendent god-like phoenix...

You had me at perfidy.

:cloud9: :goodvibes :cloud9: :goodvibes :cloud9: :goodvibes :cloud9:

I didn't watch either of the Iwo Jima movies last night. I watched "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" instead. Shake and Bake!!!

I am going to the world of limited internet time and constant annoyance. I don't recommend it. It leads to rapid insanity.
You had me at perfidy.
Ditto. Smile and nod, Michele, smile and nod.

You are reminding me of a certain poster.....

And I'm off again!

OK.

Help Peej out with some kind of Christmas joke at my expense. I think she might need the help.

Christmas is not a happy time for me. My grandfather died on Christmas Eve.

And speaking of Grandpa, no Iwo Jima movies for me. He served there.

"I wanna go fast!"

"I get up in the morning, I piss excellence."

I now have both the PG-13 theatrical version (on sale at Walmart the other day) and the unrated version. I should probably be ashamed to admit this, but this is one of my favorite movies. But I'm not ashamed. I watched the theatrical version last night, and then started to watch the commentary track. I nodded off about halfway through. In the commentary it's a 25th anniversary, and they talk about the 8 sequels they made ("the one with the puppets was a mistake..."). Will Ferrell has lost a leg and has a 6-hour show in Branson MO (he breaks out in song several times during the commentary with songs from his Branson show). John C. Reilly is a Michigan militia leader, victorious after the Nugent wars...

:flower3:

My grandfather served during WW2 in the USN on Midway as a mechanic for a squadron of PBY Catalina floatplanes. They flew anti-submarine and rescue missions.

Picture of a PBY in Royal Navy markings (might be Canadian Royal Navy)

Don't be ashamed! It's absolutely hilarious.

"I wanna thank little baby Jesus, who's sittin' in his crib watchin' the Baby Einstein videos, learnin' 'bout shapes and colors." :rotfl:

The commentary sounds really funny, too.

"I don't know what that means, but I LOVE it!"
