PJ - I called Bell this morning and since I have the "unlimited" texting plan, it is free for me to text the U.S.

You better check on your plan and make sure it's covered for you as well before you send me anymore messages. I'd hate for you to get a huge bill at the end of the month

Liz is here. Just not much to talk about. I had to grandma-sit yesterday morning, then deal with work in the afternoon. I was pretty busy because Psycho Sue left at 3 (which she's doing again today).

Gram is really starting to swell up. And she's losing her appetite and sleeping a lot :guilty: The symptoms are getting worse...

Apparently there was an issue with my dog, too (well, my mother's dog, but when she does something wrong, she's MY dog). We put her out on the porch (an indoor porch, with walls and a door and all) when someone is at the house. We put a gate across the doorway before closing the door, so she won't scratch the paint. Well, when Gram's nurse left, Mum opened the door to find Tara - and the walls, the carpet, the door, the furniture, and the gate - covered in blood. Sounds pretty bad, I know, but what happened was Tara got so mad at being locked up, she tore off one of her nails completely and it wouldn't stop bleeding. Mum says she's okay...I told her that the lesser of two evils is to let her scratch the door. Better to have the paint scratched up than have an injured dog (especially since she's 13 now).

Hi Blue! :cutie:
How are the girls?

It is dismal & rainy here--but all that HP talk has gotten me soooo excited!

I guess, Rob, being a phoenix an' all, such as he is, will be really over the moon re: HP land!

Hmm..haven't heard from princess: Chatty McChatster today, either!

Life...I must get one!

Sounds kind of Shakespearean, don't you think?
No, it sounds kind of goofballian.

Hmmm... who else around here isn't polite to me that you could have learned from? :scratchin
I will not name names. I'm too polite for that. *cough* Fellow Trollops *cough*

Hello, Hello, hello!!!

Live from Alaska! Crapy internet though.

We are on Day 2 in Seward. Every minute we have been here it's been just breathtaking. I don't think I have ever say OMG, so many times.

I have almost completely forgotten about my bad airplane experience. Luckily the problem was spotted and we arrived safely.

We hiked up to Exit Glacier today, saw a couple of black bears in the distance. Tomorrow we are doing a wild life cruise in Ressurection Bay.

It's so strange to be having daylight until almost midnight!! lol

Anyway, all is well. Freezing my butt off BTW, but worth it!:cold:

Miss you all. Hopefully I'll check in soon.
CHERYL!!!! Glad you recovered from the plane trauma. Hope everyone's behaving and not annoying you too much. Sounds absolutely gorgeous...I want to see pictures when you get home!
PJ: Yes, I know our conversation was never finished. Think of our conversations like a triology. Have to wait for the next installment. Coming soon to a chat room near you...
If our lives are a trilogy we certainly need a theme song. You pick it. That's your area.

...Noone comes to mind.
I know, it's a real stumper, isn't it?

Yes, that would be unfortunate indeed. I bet Cheryl would pay for it though. :thumbsup2

Oh man, Liz. Sorry to hear about your grandma and your dog. Glad the dog seems to be okay.

I'm here, I'm here, no worries!! I have to tell you though, I really don't recommend the whole getting a life thing. Fake DIS world is a much more pleasant place. :hippie:

Hi Jean! I have to ask...what is with the phoenix? I missed something. What happened to the trifecta? :confused3

I'm sorry about your Gram, Liz. I have been praying for her.

I hope Tara is ok. What kind of dog is she? I forgot. Cocker spaniel?

I'm sorry to hear about yr Gram, Liz.
I am hoping they can make her as comfortable as possible.
Even if it is the way of all things, it is never easy, is it?

OOOh, Tara is a naughty girl for hurting herslf like that!
That'll teach yr Mom to have company & not invite the Tara-ster!
As DSthen5 once said to me,"Mom, dogs always get their way!"

On the plus side you don't have to listen to Mad Sue croaking out more blasts from the past :teeth:

Thanks, guys. Someone had told me that now that Gram has seen all of her children, she's said her goodbyes and will probably give up now. Even though it's been so long already, and we've had time to let it sink in, it's still kind of getting to me. Now that it seems to be happening...

Yes, Tara is a cocker spaniel. She has major separation anxiety. She's always been like this, but never to the point of hurting herself. I guess she was really mad.

Hello nutter butters!
Michele!!! How are you? Long time no chat! How are the little girlies?
Hi Jean! I have to ask...what is with the phoenix? I missed something. What happened to the trifecta? :confused3
Beats me. And I even had it explained to me. I think it basically boils down to Rob is a wIerdo.
Hi, PJ! How are you?
Not too bad!
As DSthen5 once said to me,"Mom, dogs always get their way!"
:lmao: That is so funny!!! Yet so true....at least at my house!

Hi Michele!
The phoenixes--mega plural--apparently now are Our Rob's symbol of choice. He has, with great drama & a trumpeting & triumph of many brass instruments; arisen from the cold, dead ashes of his perfidy to incarnate as a far superior-to-us-mere-mortals, resplendent god-like phoenix...

yawn

Hi Peejster!

OMG Jean, don't encourage the man in his delusions of grandeur! And perfidy? Can I have that taught to me as well please?

Perfidy: treachery or disloyalty.
As in: RobinBigKC, with his saucy ways, being quite naughty, is a perfidous, scurrillous ____________ for getting an...uh..ahem.. vacation!
help me out here, Liz--not a dog, dogs are superior to every form of life on this planet----

Pj, you have to be born to perfidy!
You are far too sweet & kind

Although I think posting on the Univeral threads could be construed as perfidous :confused3

Not that I would ever go there!

Okay, well apparently no one wants to talk to me. That's just fine. :snooty: Anyway, I have one sister who has just awoken to thoroughly annoy me and yet another sister I must take to the orthodontist so I shall be going now. Catch you nut jobs later.

I'm so sorry Liz  It must be difficult :(

Awww the poor thing. Yes, better to have the paint scratched. My dog is 5 and has scratched the heck out of our door. Cat does the same thing except that she scratches the wall also :headache:
