...Or maybe it was my son (Maddox, but we call him "Mad Ducks") giving her husband that atomic wedgie. I always try to tell M.D. "Don't do that unless you can blame it on someone else!" But he never listens. Asian-Adopto-American Trust-Fund kids these days. (tsk tsk) Just because their parents can poop money gives them SUCH a sense of entitlement.

(actually, E and her family were very nice - and my wife kept me on a tight leash so I was 'nice' too)

Hey! I used to work for Dell (only American customers). I wonder if you were ever on hold with me???

God, I hope not. (J/K) I've actually had a pretty good run of luck with Dell computers. I've only had to do three or four support calls with them in the last 5 years or so (my previous place of employment had a bunch of Dells that I inherited - probably close to 30 systems in total over the years). Most of the support calls were minor in nature (Oh, so THAT'S the power button! Gee, thanks!). I honestly think this one's a hopeless case though.

I started to get in the 'hold' queue with Dell earlier but decided actually EATING lunch today AT LUNCHTIME would be a better idea. I have a client meeting in about an hour, then I'm going home. My kennel cough is getting worse. I'm kida concerned that I might hork up a lung while I'm meeting with them. For the record: not your best foot forward, professionally speaking... Might actually have to bow down and call in the professionals on this one (meaning: see an actual doctor rather than piss & moan in general at how bad I feel - which is usually quite an effective form of treatment). Besides, Dell will have to wait on that call from *me* until bright and early tomorrow. This computer's been dead for a week now - one more day ain't gonna make it any less deader. We've got enough computers to go around (one extra) so it's all good.

Feels like a summer cold, but I'm not running any kind of a fever or chest tightness. It's all in my sinuses and throat. It could be allergies since it's been VERY dry here for the last month (usually amounts of rain is enough to keep pollen counts low enoguh not to bug me, but this year is approaching a record-year drought). I was up most of the night hacking. If I had known about the haps on this thread last night I would have been DISing instead of reading (although I did read most of C.S. Lewis's "The Magician's Nephew" last night). We're less than two weeks from Vero Beach, so I (meaning: my wife) definitely want it taken care of well before vacation time.

Doing pretty good! Just finished my 2 week class so things are finally not crazy for about a minute. And yep, going abroad. We'll see if they send me right back or not. I've never been out of the country unless Mexico and Canada count. Okay, maybe I should say I've never been to Europe.
