wow, just watching the local news.

Previous American Idol girl, Vonzell Solomon, her home is here in Fort Myers and I guess it burnt down last night.

Also, at the beach closest to my house, some guy was shot. He was laying in clothes witha 12 pack of Corona on the beach. People thought he was just napping, then someone saw some blood and called 911. I think he's still alive. That should be an interesting story.

The news is a wonderful thing.:sad2:

Good Lord...maybe I don't want to come visit you afterall. That's why I'm so selective in what I watch. Certain things just trigger me and get me upset.

But where are you going and why?

I move over to our condo, because it's on the beach and it's dang hot here in the summer!!
I prefer the east coast to the west coast anwyay. I woudl love to live over there.

I'm not listening! La-la-la-la-la...

We're seeing the movie in IMAX, too. I'm looking forward to it!

I know. Another $100 down the tubes. :sad2:

Ohhh IMAX! Enjoy!

That sounds like sooo much fun to be on the beach all summer. Maybe I'll visit you afterall. If you get lucky. I have to go take this midterm I have been studying oh so hard for. :rolleyes1

Okay, need to go clean.
Study hard PJ!!
Hello Michele.
Bye!

Hello!

I'm dropping in with a random movie thing, since y'all are partially talking about movies...

PJ, you know how Rob & E have made that classics movie list for your, um, edumacation? I told Rob the other day about three they had left out of the list:

"The Graduate" (1967) with Dustin Hoffman & Anne Bancroft - the recent Jenifer Aniston / Shirley MacClaine / Kevin Costner flick "Rumor Has It" is supposes to be a 'kind of / sort of' sequel (I haven't seen it though)
"Monty Python and the Holy Grail" (1975)
"The Pink Panther" (1963) with Peter Sellers

I also work with a bunch of "old" farts - actually our median age here is younger than me. We're having a slow morning so we've been chatting a bunch. So we've put together a random brain-fart this morning and make the following suggestions to add to the list:
"The Sting" (1973) with Robert Redford and Paul Newman
"Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" (1969) with Paul Newman and Robert Redford
"Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (1986) with Matthew Broderick

And then I noticed possibly the worst transgression possible - something that was not mentioned on their list. How could this be? I asked myself. There are NO Brat-pack movies on that list. What's up with that? So I feel the need to add two that I think are THE quintessential Brat-Packer movies:
"The Breakfast Club" (1985) and "Sixteen Candles" 1984).

In my opinion those are the two 'can't miss' of the bunch.

I LOVE The Graduate! Never saw MP or BC...I know...and I call myself a movie addict.

Totally agree with the Brat pack movies! Especially the Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles.

Me too!!!! Just thought it would be good for her to think she was a rebel once in awhile!!!! :rotfl2:

Rebel Rella

Not only that, but she got 104 on Ethics...........I just find that highly amusing. :lmao:

What is this, a lawyer joke? An ethical lawyer....so amusing! JK VZ, JK.

This is like De Ja Vue (sp?) I seem to have given PJ a simalr list (sans the graduate) about6 months ago. I think mine had Dirty Dancing and Ferris Bueller's Day off on it too though.

Howdy, my nutty friends! How is everyone doing? Just popping in to say hello. :wave2:

You want a lawyer joke?

Q: What do you call 100 lawyers falling out of an airplane?
A: Skeet.

I guess the way I typed that was unclear. I have seen "The Graduate", but not "Rumor Has It".

I'll have to write that one down.

I take it you're a lawyer? Sorry about that, I'm an architect. And I'm an equal-opportunity offender. So how about a dumb architect joke...

An Architect and an Engineer were asked to measure the height of a flag pole. The Architect takes his measure tape and begins to shinny up the pole. After some slipping and sliding, he gives up. The Engineer being very intelligent as all Engineers are, walks over to the pole, turns the crank and the flag pole tilts over until it lies on the ground. The Engineer stretches out his tape measure, cranks the pole back up and says to the Architect, "It's 30 feet". The Architect scratches his head and says, "Typical engineer, he's asked for the height and he gives you the length!"

Okay, midterm's done and I'm roaming the halls. How productive of me. I just can't listen to that man say another freaking word.

I am. Muahahaha!!!!!!

You were way too obvious.

There can be no adding of movies to the list. Rob and E already came up with waaaay more than we'll ever have time to watch. I've seen Ferris Bueller. That's actually my baby sister's nickname because all she does is skip school. I have a friend named Sloane too, from that movie.

I've also seen Monty Python and it made me want to kill myself.
