Sorry. My creative writing skills were being put to other uses last night which precluded me from getting on the DIS (though I was for a bit earlier in the evening but the DIS has been so dang slow lately).

Ugh. Don't those people know that the day before Christmas holiday is supposed to be easy? (Though I've got a fair amount of work today also.)

Hi, Jean. You snuck in on me! Internet here is really slow and it's driving me crazy. ummm.....no, I don't think there will be any plate pictures. Although I do love that stupid plate....

I am off to the grocery. There is no Diet Coke or Lucky Charms in this house. A sad state of affairs, I know.

Are you sure it's the internet and not just the DIS? I can't hardly stand to DIS lately -- 5 minute waits for your post to appear are no fun.

What the heck? Didn't they know you were coming? How can they expect you to be happy without those two food staples?

News from the woods: we have a hole in our kitchen floor right down to the dirt (about 2 ft down). The 'hole' is around 30" by 20 feet.

Um...why do you have a hole in your floor???

And it wasn't the original builders 225+ yrs ago. It was the nitwits that installed the furnace 'chimney', cutting into a corner post and hacking up a sleeping timber.

Yup, she was working the Christmas party. She had to work the parade at MGM yesterday and then go straight to working the Christmas party. That seemed unfair to me. Trip was fine. I used to hate flying alone but I think I'm used to it.

I work the next 4 nights so I'll be able to do a lot of DIS reading!

I had a big long list of things to do today but like a fool I stayed up much too late last night and needed a nap this morning after I drove the girls to school. Now I'm behind with everything

Must be nice to be able to take a nap during the day. I wouldn't mind going out to my car at lunch for some rest and relaxation but would hate to have someone track me down (like Liz's creepy salesman).

Hmm...remember how I said that we average 1 direct shipment per day? Just FYI, a "direct shipment" is a group of orders that equal at least 500 points, which is about 50 window units and $100,000. Or 15 door panels. May not sound like much, but there is a lot of detail; sizing, all kinds of hardware, casing, jambs, etc. Anyway...I have done 12 direct shipments today. I have taken 4 bathroom breaks and that's it. We are going crazy.

Merry Christmas is quickly turning into Bah Humbug.

Yes, it's the DIS in general along with this stupid computer. I thought I saw something about upgrades or that the boards were going to be faster just a couple days ago. Or maybe it was all just a figment of my imagination.
