OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared1:

I'm glad you're okay Jean

I'm so afraid of fire. Our little electric heater caught on fire last winter and luckily we were sitting right there but we used to go to bed with it on - NOT ANY MORE!!!!!

It must be us, Blue!
  'Coz when your'e Hot you're hoTt!

Rob? Shy? :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

I need to go fluff my pillow :sad2:

:goodvibes

Ew. I am NOT going on that kind of Cruise.

Christmas party at Danielle and Brett's last night. Lots of people (some I hadn't seen since HS) and lots of beer. I got home at 2 and into bed at 3. I just got up at noon-ish. I feel like I got hit by a truck. I think I'm officially too old for this.

Not too old, just the trough. You will upswing somewhere in the 40ish range, then all bets are off after 48 :scared1:
Retirement checks are for martinis!

Yoo hoo Michele, Rob, Dawn, Miss Cheryl!

Sheesh, anytime I have to go chasing this thread on to page 4, I begin to panic you Nuts have gotten us shut down again!

Uh..not that any of us would do such a thing! No sir. Not us!

Never!

Great video Blue!

I'm loving the pics with yr dog & the reindeer :rotfl:
The campfire, the rows of trees, your happy faces and then the decorated tree!
Love the ornaments, especially Tink!

Rob, I have to admire the way you haven't gotten any pts via the new pickle thread :lmao:

Right now I am steaming at Amazon, I place the order, everything's due to arrive by Sat, then when the confirmation shows up NONE of it is due to arrive. Well, DS' birthday is the end of Jan so it's not critical, but...

Warning Vent!
This is topped by it's the second year in a row my DSis is getting for my Dad the exact thing I got him!

Yes, I did tell her as recently as Thanksgiving what I was getting for him a tabletop Christmas tree~

So we yakked, I told her I would change the orders to one & she's okay.
I'm on the phone & online to LL Bean for at least 45 minutes(snowstorm there, short handed, that's why I'm switching to both phone & online, getting disconnected on & off)

Meanwhile I call back DSis & I hear DBIL's PO'ed in the background.
I mean, she has all the original charges off her card, her promo $ back, I ordered the best tabletop tree, put the whole business on my card, also, I alone am spending the difference (in other words, at no extra cost to Dsis), had everyone's names put on the card & he's worked up :headache:
I don't know maybe he's real tired or PMSing!
Dad has a teensy apt--sheesh! he doesn't need 2 trees, especially when he could use some other stuff.
Last year when she snagged my gift idea, I shut up & I still have the darned thing laying around the house!
I said NOTHING then and let it go.

If this doesn't teach me to keep my big mouth shut, I don't know what will!
Next year when we chat about gifts I will be Miss Undecided!

In order to save Jean from having to go searching for our thread, here...I'll bump it up to the first page (for now).

Um...so, this morning in our company e-newsletter, I got a chuckle out of being informed about our "IBS Product Preview." In this case, though, IBS stands for "International Builder's Show." You'd think they would have realized and named it something else...

Good morning, Nut Jobs. How has everyone been? My sister was in town this weekend. I can't remember if I mentioned that or not. We had a very nice weekend. We spent Friday downtown and then yesterday we had our family Christmas with both sides of the family. It was crazy, but fun. I had a couple of meetings this morning and now I am going to go meet my sister for breakfast. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

PJ, I am picturing you & yr sister just having too much fun!
Is she freezing? Doesn't she know mermaids do not migrate in a northerly direction?

:lmao:

It's housecleaning day---:scared:
DH has half of the kitchen torn up down to the posts as in 'post and beam'.
So now we learn there's just a tad of STRUCTURAL work to be done on one corner post & the sill.

Where's the fainting smilie???

and just think, I could not leave well enough alone and just had to remove the space heater

Anyway, is it windy, icy and freeZing there Liz? sure hope the office windows aren't open!

Maybe Tara is wearing her gloves?

Yes, it's INCREDIBLY cold today! We got more sleet yesterday. After we shoveled for the 2nd time (thanks to the plow), it started to rain. Of course, after dark, that ices right over. The winds followed overnight. At least the sun is out and despite the cold, it looks like the roads are melting.

Well, Nuts, I have both fireplaces going as I clean.
Now it's cocktail/DIS time.

Yummm, room temp Dubonnet w/ a lovely lemon slice & a splash of a spicy ginger ale

Gotta go and make sure I'm not burning down this pile of logs. TTFN!

And I have to go to the other side of town to deliver a gift for my hairstylist. If the sidewalks here at work are any indication, the roads are still going to be icy and messy.

I was right. The roads were a skating rink. The driveway to the salon is on an incline, so I slid down to the parking lot. To get out, at the top of the incline, I had to try to plow through the unshoveled snow and ice. My tires were spinning and spinning...I must have left half of them on the street. And of course, by the time I managed to catch and get out in the street (the smell of burned rubber trailing), the light 3 houses down had turned green, and someone was crawling up my butt already. I hate winter.

Are you lonesome tonight,
Do you miss me tonight?
Are you sorry we drifted apart?
Does your memory stray to a brighter sunny day
When I kissed you and called you sweetheart?
Do the chairs in your parlor seem empty and bare?
Do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there?
Is your heart filled with pain, shall I come back again?
Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?

I wonder if youre lonesome tonight
You know someone said that the worlds a stage
And each must play a part.
Fate had me playing in love you as my sweet heart.
Act one was when we met, I loved you at first glance
You read your line so cleverly and never missed a cue
Then came act two, you seemed to change and you acted strange
And why Ill never know.
Honey, you lied when you said you loved me
And I had no cause to doubt you.
But Id rather go on hearing your lies
Than go on living without you.
Now the stage is bare and Im standing there
With emptiness all around
And if you wont come back to me
Then make them bring the curtain down.

Is your heart filled with pain, shall I come back again?
Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?

Um, not one of my favorite Elvis songs but at least it is Elvis!

-- Rob

Jean...That's funny that you asked if my sister was cold here because the answer would be a big YES. She complained the entire time about being cold. Then when she was leaving tonight she said something to the extent of "well, I'm not happy to be leaving, but I am happy to be returning to civilized weather." :rotfl2:

Blue...you have an excellent singing voice. I can just tell. You should sing more often.

Liz...sorry about the nasty roads. Glad you made it safely though.

Rob...hi. That's all I've got. You didn't give me much to work with.

Night, Nuts.
:grouphug:
