I had to help lead a parent meeting after school where I talked about the 1-3rd grade math and language arts/mechanics curriculum. Now I am off to an autism lecture so I couldn't make it to class tonight.

Thanks, Jean. I was really nervous. Of course! I know what you mean about the hallways at BWV! Yikes! I swear you could get lost walking those hallways! Did you have nice weather? How were the crowds?

Good Morning Nutters!

New Hampshire-Jaffrey Center Meeting House

So...I had a whirlwind of a day yesterday, which I didn't post about. I woke up at 6:50 to find that the sleet was just starting to come down. No big deal; I live close to work now, so I just took it really slow. Got to work and noticed that my rear passenger side tire seemed REALLY low. Not completely flat, but getting close. It's been doing that; I've had to fill it up every 6 weeks or so. But I went inside anyway, to discover that the power was out. Completely out - the phones weren't even working. So I asked around for some of the guys to look at my tire and maybe see if they could change it. Of course, they all claimed that they didn't know jack (pun intended) about cars. But one guy in service went out with me to look at it, and one of the maintenance guys was out there, too. They both said I should go around the corner to Firestone (they're Firestone tires) and have it checked. I figured since the power was out and we couldn't work, I might as well. So I was at Firestone for an hour, panicking that I needed to get back to work. They found two small holes in the tire, which were fixed for free. Went back and the power was still out, so I was nervous for nothing. We stood around talking...and talking...and talking...finally at 10:40, the director of operations went around and sent us in order entry and the CADD guys home. The phones were working by this point, but since our jobs are completely computer-dependent, there was nothing for us to do. Apparently the power was restored at 2 p.m., so it would have been a waste for us to be there. I had a hair appointment at 6:30 last night, but I managed to get it changed to 3:30 and I'm glad - it was icy by the time I got home at 5. I wouldn't have wanted to go later!

So that was yesterday. Of course, we're swamped today...

Oh, and Shelly and I decided that for my next hair appointment, we're going to try putting bright purple streaks in it. She blocked me off for more time, so we can do a bleach-and-foil job. I can't wait!

Good to hear you got that tire fixed & the ride to work wasn't as harrowing as it could have been!

PJ: The crowds were light--but we do rope drops & avoid MK on Saturdays. Thanksgiving week itself was crowd-y, but sure as Rob's Kitty eats computers, it started to thin out on the Sunday after.
MVMCP (Sunday, Nov 25) was very manageable & the fireworks were SPECTACULAR!
Oh, yes, the cookies & hot chocolate tasted better!

They were filming the parade this past Fri, Sat & Sunday
