Yes, I guess. I guess you are a good one to compare to. Since you live in Orlando all summer, then in your dorm. She is gone all summer and has an apartment on campus the rest of the year. When does it mean she moved out:confused: There are very few things of hers in the room now.
I never want her to feel like she can't come home, but yet I want to be able to upgrade the room when I want to as well. Luckily I like bubblegum pink and lime green ;)
I don't think I will ever think of my room as anything but my room until my parents no longer live in that house. I did live in Orlando all summer and now I'm in my apartment, so it's not like I have spent a significant amount of time there but it's still my room.

Cute new siggy PJ!:thumbsup2
Thanks! Did you have a nice weekend, Cheryl? I just now opened my planner to see what I need to do for tomorrow. Yikes. :scared1:

Okay. Guess since I'm from a big family, and my room was taken over in about 5.5 seconds after I left for college, I'm curious as to other's opinions.

Weekend was fine. Worked Friday. Cleaned Saturday then went out to dinner, which was nice. Came home to the no AC deal, swam.
Today all we did was clean. I can't get the smell of Clorox off of me. I'm still cleaning. When I'm on a roll I hate to stopf ro too long.
This week I will tackle the closet. DH will be out of town ;) Lot's of stuff WILL be thrown away in his absense.

Where is everyone:confused3

Hi Nuts, with a special shout out to PJ and Cheryl (who appear to be the only ones signed on at this time)! The cat in the pic is Wildcat, our short-haired one. The long-haired brother (not pictured in the dishwasher area) is Oreo.

The dishwasher project has not gone well. DW and I have had two houses built and each time I learn a little something -- this time I learned that the next time I have a house built, it will have FLEXIBLE supply lines to all of the toilets and to the dishwasher. Copper supply lines are great for the plumber to work with when he does the initial dishwasher or toilet or toilet valve install but it is a pain-in-the-rear when I have to do a replacement, especially on this freakin' dishwasher.

I am heading to bed already because I am soooooo tired, probably because I am not used to lieing on my back, handling pipe, and working things in and out of tight spaces ALL weekend long. I mean I understand it's called a built-in dishwasher for a reason but, man, that's a tight squeeze.

Talk about points you can accumulate from that paragraph~!:sad2:

Anyway, sorry it didn't go so well. Better luck next time.
Get some rest!

My folks moved after I got married and after living in my childhood home for 18 years. My sister got to live in their newer home but I never did so I don't feel an attachment to that house at all. I can't say that this is the only way I would have ever felt that way about "my" old room but, PJ is right (as usual), in that it does do the trick.

Just tell your DH you must have a new home, Cheryl!

CHERYL!!! tsk, tsk

It's frustrating because is an aid that we are quite used to having. I passed on the installation not to save money but to get it in quicker. Installation was at least a week out if they did it and I thought I could get it done this weekend -- ugh.

You've all been a busy bunch around the house these days!

Cheryl, I can't wait to see the finished rooms :thumbsup2

Rob - playing plumber eh? ;)

PJ - I'm glad the benefit thing went well and raised a lot of money :goodvibes

Jean - I always look forward to your morning pictures :goodvibes

Yay! Some company for a bit :yay:

How are you doing girl????????

Besides remodeling bedrooms?

I'm good! Felt nice to be home for a whole weekend for a change. got lots accomplished.
On Tuesday I get to go to the airport twice. lol DH leaves for Boston in the morning and Crystina flies in from Orlando in the evening.

Are you back into the swing of things yet? I'm always in a funk after vacations. How are the girls?
Book that DL trip yet?;)

Heidi,
I haven't even started KJ's room yet. I'm still looking for bedding that we like. I really want to do something cool and different.
So far the only surf kind of bedding I could find is this:
http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Surfs-Up-T200-Bedding-Set/2468003/product.html
I want something with a little more color, maybe some orange in it.
Then I was going to find an old surf board and use it like a shelf in his room. It could really turn out to be acute theme.
Of course, there is always the old stand by sports theme. Although, one wall would have to be the "Green Monster".

I couldn't move around like you do or as often - I should say. I'm a real homebody kinda girl.

How long will Crystina be home for?

Yes, I'm back into the swing of things. Back to being so fricken busy that is.

I'm a taxi mom

Besides work, seems all I do is spend my spare time driving the girls around :headache:

The girls are great! Thanks for asking :goodvibes

About the DL trip, looks like we're going back to WDW. I'm so sorry I'll miss out on meeting you and Goofster :guilty:

I like the Surf theme!! :thumbsup2

What a cool idea to use a surfboard as a shelf!

My youngest DD has been waiting since the spring for me to paint her room. :sad2:

I promised her today that I would start on it next week. I think she has finally decided on pink, lime green and purple as her colours.

I've been trying to talk her into a tinkerbelle theme but she doesn't seem interested. :confused3

I like those colors together! They are Tinkish :) Crystina's are almost those colors, not so much purple.
Maybe you can buy a few Tink items for her for Christmas, be subtle ;)

Heh Heh...I just may do that ;)

I have to go to bed now :(

I'm on the late morning shift tomorrow.

Have a good night - sleep well
