I was thinking the same thing about Rob's 4:30 in the morning post!

Have fun at the benefit PJ. Where is your parent's vacation home? I don't ever remember you mentioning it before.

Well, we spent the day cleaning @@ and, it looks messier than before we started. lol
I cleaned KJ's room top to bottom, packed up old clothes and threw a bunch of junk out! This way when his new bedroom set comes it it will be a lot easier.

I bought a really cute chandelier for Crystina's room too. I'll have to show a picture when her room is done. She'll probably hate it. lol

We are heading out on a date in a bit.

Seaside is beautiful! Why don't you ever go there? I wish we had a house there.

She lives here very little these days anyway. No, she doesn't know. But. I didn't do a massive re-do, just new curtains, some new pillows, chair and the chandelier. I lind of wanted to surprise her.

Out of curiousity, how would that work in a college girl's eye? You lived in Orlando all summer and then in your dorm at school. Would you care if your mom did something to your room?
I'm serious, need the opinion of someone her age.

Back from my date and the AC is out again!!!! The babysitter and KJ are sweating, but never called us.
It's soooo hot in here! We're going out to the pool to cool off and tomorrow it's Hampton Inn time @@.
Gonna be a long night.

Blue -- please ask your husband to send me a 90 degree elbow with 3/8" N.P.T. external threads on one end and a 1/4" fitting on the other (the copper piece shown in this pic):

You can see from all the nicks and scratches where I tried to use the old part but that joint compound is good stuff.

If he can get it here in the next hour or two, I can finish this weekend's plumbing project -- replacing our dishwasher:

Otherwise, it's a trip to The Home Depot for me in the morning.

I heard a statistic a week ago saying health care bills are the cause of almost 50% of US bankruptcies! It must be so stressful to not only be fighting for yr life, but worrying about the financial well being of yr family
I think Seaside has been on the Travel Channel. Your parents are so kind to donate such a marvelous stay!

They went to the game on Friday night. We were supposed to work on Satuday and it got canceled or else I'm sure he would have went again.

It is terrible! We have 80/60 coverage. When Kevin was in the hospital a couple of years ago, it was a 10 day luxurious stay. Our out of pocket was $7,000! That was without any surgery. So, can you imagine what it would be if it were something major. We really need to do something about it.

I'm deep cleaning the kitchen today, thought I'd take a breather from the smell of Clorox and say hello.

I sure hope your dishwasher project is going better than Kevin's chandelier project Rob! I should go take a picture of him doing it.

Sure hope everyone is having more fun than I am today. You must be because it's very quiet around here.

Wow! The debris field!

We have solved the chandelier/fan problem in this house by not having room center electric outlets. I have told DH this is because we are doing a restoration.
It is just one less thing for him to 'improve'.

He has cast his eyes on the state of our windows.
He is making windows for the house...

I do go there. I went there a lot growing up for Spring Break and summers and the whole family goes there every year for Thanksgiving. I mean the whole family. Talk about a disaster. I'm really looking forward to it. My parents do go there frequently though because my dad only works every other week.

I don't think I would mind if my mom just "improved" a few things in my room. If she started moving things around or really changing things I would get upset. AND I would want her to understand if I didn't like some of it and wanted to change it back. I would most likely appreciate it but at the same time I wouldn't want it to be a significant change. Does that make sense?

It raised a good deal of money that the family will be able to use toward their medical expenses. This man, the one who is very sick owns an automobile repair shop along with my cousin's husband. When I wrecked my car a few years ago and then when my cousin ran my car into our garage wall a couple months ago they did the repairs for me. They only charged me for the materials/parts, not the labor. Their shop is really close to Xavier and if I ever need help with moving something, or I feel unsafe, or anything like that, they're always right here. They're really great guys. Lots of prayers going out that he gets better.

Cheryl...glad your AC is back on. Yikes.

Yes, I guess. I guess you are a good one to compare to. Since you live in Orlando all summer, then in your dorm. She is gone all summer and has an apartment on campus the rest of the year. When does it mean she moved out There are very few things of hers in the room now.
I never want her to feel like she can't come home, but yet I want to be able to upgrade the room when I want to as well. Luckily I like bubblegum pink and lime green

That is a good idea Jean, I will keep that in mind for teh next house, although down here you really need some ceiling fans. Her room will be the only room without one. I did buy a nice stand up fan instead.

Windows heh? Good luck on that one! We have been going back and forth about getting hurricane proof windows. Big $$$.
