Patrick wants to go to Keene State--he wants a small town college & he wants to stay in New England--

sheesh! when I was a kid if I could've arranged it, I would've gone to school in Russia!

He also likes UNH & Roger Williams (DH's alma mater)

Roger Williams has come along way in recent years. I love the location too!
We have a family cottage right over the bridge in Portsmouth from there.
I met and admissions person last week from RW. He was at a college fair we had at the convention center. He was showing me pictures of how it looks now. Very nice.

Good morning, everyone. I GOT TO SLEEP IN!!!!!!!

sheesh! when I was a kid if I could've arranged it, I would've gone to school in Russia!

That means you're a good mommy!!!! I would've gone farther but of course like the best Montessori program ever is in Cincinnati. Go figure.

I am going to the doctor in a few minutes, then meeting some babynurse person y'all may have heard of for lunch. THEN, I am going to a football game. Before anyone gets too concerned about my health, I will not be watching the game. I am just going to watch my cousin's dance team perform. My aunt and my friend Eren are going too, so I'm sure I can just chat with them rather than having to pay attention to the people goofing off out on the field.

p.s. Cheryl: is that little blue guy KJ? ;-)

He's funny, but Cheese kills me...

Anyway...my mother has a job interview on Monday morning! Same place where she technically was hired back in March, but had to decline to bring Gram home and care for her. The personnel manager remembered her and was very happy that she called, because there's an opening in their office right here in town!

Of course, now my dear mother is freaking out and has decided that I need to move in next week so we can get the cable and internet hooked up. I told her A) chill out, B) we can always have the cable company out on a Saturday; her answer was "you'll be waiting a long time for that," so C) I have until the end of October, I'm sure it can be done by then, and if not, D) she has a computer and 2 TVs with digital cable that I can use in the meantime.

Out here in the sticks, it took us 3 weeks to get an app't with the DirecTV guy, yet I see them here at least a few times a week
Hey, I live across from the general store, I have my hand on the pulse of Tiny Town!
so for 3 weeks I waited & he stood me up twice!

All that waiting & we still have cArpy reception PLUS I was exposed to a hefty, rosecea ridden, pimply bum crack to view!


Yes! Definitely don't move in 'til that internet connection is in place!

Patrick's last serious bout with children's programming is when the Teletubbies 1st were broadcast in Dallas. Pat was about 10 or 11.
I turned it on just to see what they were all about & was amazed that Patrick made himself comfy & watched 'til the end! I was all rosy with a sentimental glow, thinking, wow, this is so sweet that at his age he'd still appreciate a babies' program.
After the show was over he turned to me & wailed in disappointment,

"Mom, I thought they were supposed to have laser deathrays shooting out of their stomachs!"
He was really p.o.ed!

I think I would qualify as a creepster if I was noticing the tight pants on the high school boys. We won't go there.
The nursey person says hi back. I'm sure of it. Let's just say the General Lake Saint Butler Two Rivers State Historic National Park or wherever the heck we just went will never be the same. Nuff said.

I'm getting ready to go to a benefit. I think I've mentioned this on here before but my cousin's husband's brother (follow that?) is very sick with lung cancer. He has 4 children under the age of 9. The benefit is for him. It's a silent auction. I think my parents are auctioning off a week at their vacation home in Florida and I don't know what else people are auctioning. I guess I'll just be there to look pretty because the broke college chick really doesn't have much to contribute financially. Might be back later. Have a great Saturday night.
