And to think the Nation's political eyes are upon us! :teeth:

PrincessPixiePicklePop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is that Nic, SPAM and you in yr siggie?

Missing: Keith, PJ, Cheryl, Blue!

I know Liz must be sipping a brew & casting love spells!

I see Rob is over with the Chatters--how was Craig's show??? I'm soooo jealous!

I'm rearranging furniture.
DH & I got the trees down & the house just has winter decorations up, Christmas is gone :sad1:
It was mild out today--upper 30's, could've used some sun, but at least there weren't the bitter winds we've been having. I could hear the icicles melting.

When DS was young I used to freeze some wicked long icicles & we'd freeze about a dozen snowballs.
Patrick would forget all about the icicles come spring, so it would be a grand treat to pull them out of the freezer. He'd hurl 'lightening bolts' at targets set up in the backyard.
Later, in June, he'd break out the snowballs at the bus stop :rotfl:
Maybe I should add he was always getting clobbered in snowball fights.
Revenge can be sweet!

Craig Ferguson was pretty good even if his act seemed a bit short. I think it was about 90 minutes so that may be about the right length for a comedy act. There were several times that I was literally 8 feet from him (how come I can never get tickets like that for Shakira, Shania, Carrie Underwood, etc.?).

One of his writers (I don't remember the guy's name) tours with him and does about 15 minutes of stand-up and he was quite funny also. In fact, I think my son may have enjoyed the warm-up act more than Craig's act. All in all, I laughed quite a bit. Craig did get a bit raunchy but not too bad.

Hi Jean & Rob!!!

It's been ages
Hi Blue! Did they finally untie you?

Good Morning Nuts!

Hi Jean:lovestruc

Yep, that's me and Nic..holding her spam..she just can't get enough of it. She made the restaurant make her a spam and pickle sandwich while we waited for our order.

Hello, Nut Jobs. Did I miss anything? Quick update?

No one really probably wants a play by play of my life so I'll just say I've been busy with working doubles and having friends here. Got to see Cheryl the other night, which was nice. Hopefully we'll get to meet up again before she leaves.

Hope everyone is doing well and since I don't think I said it...Happy New Year!

And Jean's plumbing was/is frozen.

Glad you told us you saw Cheryl because for all we know she's run off with some 25 year old stud or captured by some pirate. I don't think she's been seen around here since last year. :sad1:

The List.
Your name's on a list, Rob.
Next time, buy tickets in cash and go dressed as a small forest creature!
How are your virgianal ears, Rob-bo?

Hi Jean & Rob!!!

It's been ages..
Blue, Blue,
We're missing youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

How is the New Year treating you, girl?

Did you crawl under the table when the Tall, Cool Wench ordered that little culinary bomb? :lmao:

Nah, I gave that up. It never works.

Saw Sweeney Todd yesterday (finally!). It was awesome, of course.

1. Is your aim off?
2. Was it bloody? I really want to see it, but gore leaves me freaked.

Hummmph! I'll have you know I am flowing freely! :snooty:

When it comes to 25 yr old studs &/or swarthy pirate types, I certainly hope Cheryl knows Big Bird advocates SHARING! :woohoo:

Hello Nuts!

What's shakin' tonight?

-- Rob

It's ALL shakin'!

Actually, I am quite cranky--it's ANOTHER New Years diet! :headache:

Pickle & SPAM sandwiches almost sound tasty!

1. Is your aim off?
2. Was it bloody? I really want to see it, but gore leaves me freaked.

1. Probably. Or I'm just no good at it.
2. There was blood and arterial sprays. However, IMO, it looked really overdone, for dramatic effect. The blood itself looked fake. There was one scene involving a dismembered big toe, at which one audience member let out an audible "ewwww..." But nobody freaked, no one walked out, etc. Still, you might want to skip it if you're squeamish.

On an ironic note, I've read that both Johnny Depp and Tim Burton are pretty squeamish themselves and have been known to faint at the sight of blood. That's why I think maybe they overdid it - kind of an inside joke?

If you've ever seen Sleepy Hollow, the story goes that there were a few scenes where Johnny gets sprayed with the fake blood, but he didn't know it was coming, so the reactions you see are real.

:car:

Hi Liz! Hi DM!

Well, errands today & vote.

Ugh! Have to put on full face paint & decent clothes--never know when one of the hundreds of camera crews crawling all over New Hampshire will turn up at your local polling place :rotfl:

And I must say we have received a number of bogus 'poll' phone calls--you know those calls purporting to be a poll, but only give you a run down of one party's candidates. It's illegal, but they do it--oh, of course it's never the official party~

Edit: Wow! DM: the crabs were showing up as a pic until just now! Very weird! Thanks for taking up the slack!
So, in addition, here's another lovely pic:

I agree! I thought it was awesome. Or, according to my 12 year-old dd, "it was wicked!"

Aw, man, I might have to take myself to see that this weekend! Or sometime soon - with the way it's running away at the box office, it probably won't be going out anytime soon.

How could I resist? The 80s...Man, I live for that stuff! The music rocked.

100 points to anyone who can name the 5 original MTV VJs.

50 points to anyone who can name the first video ever shown on MTV (song and artist).

200 points to anyone who can name the second video ever shown on MTV.

1000 points to anyone who can name the 3 1980s musicians who played The Most Important People in the World in the movie "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure." Extra credit given if you can also name what bands they were in.

All of this, of course, must be done using your own general knowledge. No Googling.
