We were just at Mitukoshi's last week. We made ps for lunch because last year when we went it was MUCH cheaper than dinner. Am I going crazy or have they gone up on their prices big time? I have the receipt from last year but it is packed away. It seemed to be very high--higher than I would pay for dinner at a Japanese restaurant here where I live. I really didn't think it used to be that way. They also have mostly women cooks--nothing wrong with it, just an observation. Our meal was not seasoned very well. We will not go there anymore. It used to be one of the highlights of our trip. Has anyone else noticed the differences?

If you're talking about Teppanyaki, the change has been mentioned several times before. I understand salad is no longer included also. I was really disappointed to hear about the changes as we always eat there for lunch.

We went around January, and were definitely disappointed. I'm "glad" I'm not the only one who experienced this, as I thought I was going crazy!

Our meal was bland, overpriced, and wasn't entertaining in the least.

We have reservations there next week. When did the prices go up, when did they start having women cooks, we were just there last year? I don't want to spend a fortune and be disappointed. We eat Teppanyaki Japanese at home all the time, so if it's not as good anymore, tell me so we can skip it.

We ate there for lunch for my DD's bday on 6/14. The price did go up and salad is no longer included. We spent the same for lunch there as we did for dinner the night before at Cape May Cafe. There was a female chef at the table next to us but we had an older male chef. With that being said, our chef was very entertaining and the food was great. There was plenty of it, we left stuffed. Our server, was great as well, she made oragomi (sp?) birds for my daughter and the other child at the table and rubberbanded the chop sticks together so my daughter could use them. While not an everyday restaurant for us, we will go back again.
