just got the paper in the mail about the details of our reservation. I had asked for All Star Music since that is where we stayed the past two spring breaks, but they have us down for All Star Movies. I asked DDs and they said that was alright, no big deal.

But I have a stupid question. How do you plan how many days for the park hoppers. If we arrive on the 24th which is a Saturday. (March 24th '07) should I plan that as a day, or just count as a night and just plan for something that evening since we will be hungry. So book Hoop Dee Doo, or something? Hope I am making since.

has anyone ever stayed at Movies? Look neat, but just curious. So excitied and have so many questions. Will just ask these for now since we have a year wait.

That's why the MYW tickets are so much better than the old admissions. You can customize your package. Even though you arrive on Saturday you do not have to fork out $$ to buy park passes for that day if you will be arriving late and can't not take advantage of the attractions. If you're arriving later in the day and do not feel that park admission would be worth it for that day (or your check out day), then I would just schedule an ADR at a resort or DTD. Good luck getting Hoop Dee Doo, if that's what you choose!

We stayed in the Mighty Ducks at ASMo and it was just fine. DH and DD had nothing to compare it to, and I had only ever been to FW.

What time will you be arriving? If it will be late in the afternoon, you may want to skip the parks for that day as you won't have much time to see them that day.
You could just ease into the magic slowly by hitting Downtown area of Disney and cruise through the many shops and have a light dinner at the Earl of Sandwich. (food very good here)
You could then even catch a movie at the AMC theaters, or check out Cirque de Soliel.
Get to bed at a fairly reasonable time and then early the next morning, you will be able to hit the parks running!!! :cool1: :thumbsup2

The Movies is a fun resort that I think your kids will love. I'm a big kid but I enjoyed my stay there (we usually pick the Sports when doing a value) The Movies are usually harder to get into than the others so that means it is a popular value resort.

I agree with the others...it just depends what time of day you arrive and how tired you all will be. I'd probably schedule a meal at a resort instead of DtD, but that is just me. A little DtD goes a long way with my family, LOL.

since it is so far away I can't book the flight yet, so I have no idea what time we will arrive. Any way you look at it though chances are half of the day might be gone so I think it is a good idea just to book a meal at one of the larger resorts, or try for Hoop Dee Doo.

We have never been DTD so that sounds like a real good idea depending on the time we arrive.

From the pictures I saw of Movies it does look like a fun place. If it is so popular I am surprised we were accidently booked there. Either way I have no doubt we will have a lot of fun. thanks everyone for your opinions and advice.

Some park hoppers have 'extras' such as disney quest and water parks. I would suggest disney quest (Even if you dont buy the extra) They open at night and are open until midnight. They have food and tons of fun activities. Like lessons on how to draw disney characters, POTC fighting, Jungle Cruise Paddling and so much more.

Susan, maybe it was because you were able to book so far in advance.

Depending on which building they put you in at All Star Movies, you might want to check to see if the bus stop and food court at the All Star Music is closer. It took me a few days to figure that out the one and only time that I stayed at the ASMovies.

Movies is really really great! See if you can request Dalmatians building. It's superclose to both pools and the main building, but it's not considered the "Preferred" building for the extra charge.

Also, I would suggest against scheduling Hoop Dee Doo or any pre-paid show for your travel day. You never know what may happen that will cause you to get in later than planned. We went to HDD one of the nights on our recent trip a week and a half ago, and we were at the ticket window getting our discount applied for the Dining card and while waiting for the lady to finish what she was doing, heard her cancelling the tickets for a family that was supposed to have arrived early that afternoon, but for whatever reason, had JUST arrived at WDW and it was almost 9pm!!
