In response to those grades I just don't get really get it.
The "C" for room quality, I'm sure that was a grade prior to the remodel but even so I can't at all agree with that. We've stayed at the Swan 5x and have yet (and can't wait

) to stay in a renovated room. The rooms were always clean and comfortable.
The "D" for quiet, well first, I think that makes quite a difference where your room is located. If you're near an elevator, sure it'll be noisey, but by the same token, the noise from the rooms at the WDW resorts are worse.
I swear the walls are paper thin and if you're near an elevator, forget it, you can hear everything. This was a big problem at the POLY and WL for us. If you ask for a room at the end of the hall the more likely it'll be quiet. But, in any hotel I've ever stayed at unless the rooms around you are vacant there's going to be noise.
Best tips for noise reduction:
Ask for a room at the end of the hall.
Ask for a room without a connecting door.
So in all fairness the S/D's rooms are probably now superior to most of those at the WDW resorts as far as quality goes and the noise, well I've already covered that. I can only imagine who they surveyed for that survey
