Whose from Missouri around here?

I'm from KC and found this website about a year and a half ago. We've been to Disneyworld six times and Disneyland two years in a row. I was born and raised here and am a season ticket holder to the Chiefs. How nice it would be to see a KC sports team be good again.

So who else is from Missouri?

I'm not from Missouri, but I'm planning to visit KC for Spring Break. Any hints, tips, & ideas on what to do & where to stay? DH & I visited about 8 years ago. We enjoyed the Arabia museum, but I don't remember much else.

Greetings from the other side of the state! I've been hanging around here waaaay too long for my own good. :lmao:

The hubby and I usually head to WDW once a year thanks to our DVC membership.

I currently live in Florida, but I lived the majority of my life in KC. I work for Disney and my hometown name on my badge says Kansas City, Mo.

I was born and raised in St. Louis. :thumbsup2

I'm almost in Missouri.... does that count? Four miles south of the state line.

Oh, and I aspire to move to the Springfield/Ozark area.

I live in Kansas City too (but on the Kansas side). However, I grew up in the Poplar Bluff area, in Southeast Missouri, and I am such a "show-me" girl!!!:lmao:

Don't live there, actually have lived most of my life in MD, but I was born in Sedalia. My father is from there and all of his side of the family live all over the state.

Me, I've been here forever. We don't get to WDW as much as we used to, what with the 3 kids and all.
I think if Herm Edwards left we might have a chance. JMHO. Getting rid of Trent Green was a big mistake, but he needs to retire anyway, I am so afraid of him getting hurt very badly.
What to do in KC? Worlds of Fun, the Plaza, go out to the Legends, visit the Nelson Art Gallery, take a trolley tour.... I don't know. Eat BBQ, but try a small hole in the wall place. Everyone says Gates in the best but I disagree! I like Zarda's.

Hi there Show Me staters! I'm a little south of the middle.

Too many trips to WDW to count.

I'm just south of KC,MO where the line squiggles and leaves me in KS! My husband is a fireman/paramedic in Belton and Independence.

A friend of mine and I were talking about living here this morning at coffee. She's lived in Florida and says that when she was there, she couldn't wait to get back and now that she's back she misses Florida.

As much as I think we'll move someday when the kids are out of high school, I'll always be a midwest girl at heart!

Things to do in KC:
Kaleidoscope - fun for kids
KC ZOO
Steamboat Arabia Museum - wow what a cool place
The Plaza - the original outdoor shopping experience
Crown Center
If you like art - Nelsen Art Gallery/Kemper Museum of Art
Best Mall in KC - Oak Park Mall
Deanna Rose Animal Farm - free (lady officer killed in line of duty and her wish was to build a free animal park for kids)
All the pro teams won't be playing yet
Worlds of Fun - not as good as it once was when I was a little kid
Liberty Memorial - World War I museum - only one in U.S.
BBQ - famous ones include Gates, Arthur Bryants, Fiorella's Jack Stack

As Sonya said the Legends area in Kansas City, Kansas is a fun place to visit. Also, the Power & Light District in Downtown KC is new and exciting -- it contains the only other Ragland Road in the U.S. (the other one being at WDW of course).

Legends also has the only other T.Rex like the one in Animal Kingdom. We got ours first though!

Native Missourian here, now living in Salt Lake City. Was born and raised about 60 miles out of STL in a small town called Gerald. We will be visiting for Christmas and will make the trek to KC to visit my husbands aunt and uncle.

We are currently AP holders at Disneyland and just went to Disneyworld with our two kiddos in September and booked bounceback for next year. We hope to make it an annual tradition and eventually buy a DVC! :cool1:

Don't forget Kansas City Speedway. There are truck and indy car races in April.
