Mississippi tax free weekend !

for anyone who hasn't heard, this weekend is tax free in Mississippi for clothing , shoes and school supplies for items under $100 each.

Hopefully it will save someone some money !!!! (I wish it were on everything this weekend though!) I believe it's the 30th and 31st

Just wanted to also mention that this coming weekend Aug. 6-8, 2010, is SC tax free weekend. And you can even participate if you are from GA and NC !

I had not heard that...thanks for posting. We are planning on doing back to school shopping tomorrow, along with the rest of the state, I am guessing.

Went today. Thought it wouldn't be bad as it is a week day! O M G !!!! Bigger crowds than are usually at the mall during Christmas on weekends! I couldn't believe how many whole families were there--I really wanted to ask everyone WHY isn't anyone at work??

Also, every school in this area has gone to uniforms and they were murder to find!! No white polo's anywhere. Most of the things I could find were at the more expensive stores so had to do a lot of careful choosing to keep from over spending.

Yea! another Mississippian here....Where are you from? We are in Meridian. Looks like we will be at Disney almost about the same time frame..

About the tax free weekend, will be stocking up on socks and undies for the family for Disney.
