What kind of ride is this? Is it a virtual reality or a coaster? Just checking for my fear of heights husband, lol.

Mission to Mars closed like 15 years ago! ;)

Mission:SPACE is the new ride at Epcot. It's a simulator type, with spinning and stuff... no real heights.

I assume you're reffering to Mission Space??? If so, it is virtual reality...although it may still bother him once, as it feels pretty realistic. It is an awesome ride though, I was really impressed by it! If he decides to skip it, make sure you don't, it's GREAT!!! :teeth: :teeth:

Simulator!!! Thanks Erika, that's the word I was looking for and couldn't come up with it!!! LOL

Are you referring to Mission Space at Epcot? If so, it's sort of a virtual reality/centrifuge type ride. You enter a centrifuge, they close the doors and the panel comes in towards you. On the panel is a movie of your mission, take off, flight, etc. The centrifuge spins, but for me the feeling was one of Blast Off, I felt pressure rather than spinning. I am claustrophobic, and the small space did bother me. I am not one much for spinning either, but on MS, it was the small quarters rather than they spinning that got to me. You will all be given a job to perform and you interact with the ride. Also, they advise you to keep your head straight forward and keep your eyes on the screen. I strongly suggest following these instructions. It was a great experience, but I wouldn't do it again because of the claustrophobia.

Ick I think I may need to skip this ride. Star Tours is my limit...throw in spinning and I may be sick

This ride was the second ride ever at WDW or DL that did me in. The other is the jets at DL, when they were up high. I loved the blast off, really did feel like gravity pulling you back down to earth. But it just went on toooooo long. I felt lousy by the end. I kept my head still and kept repeating, it is not a centrifuge, it is not a centrifuge. But I ended hot and sweaty and nauseated. Had to sit on the benches after the ride and did not feel O.K. for a while afterward. Everyone else in the party, 7-50 loved it. But next time I will pass. Might have been O.K. if I did not know how it worked and didn't tend to hot-flash!
