Any one thats been on the newest ride at epcot...how bad is it?..I've heard that people with claustrophobia (sp?) should not ride it. Is it that bad or just hype? And what about strobe lights, my wife is claustrophobic and strobe lights is a migraine trigger. WDW wouldn't be very magical for ANY of us if she gets a migraine!

I assume you are talking about Mission Space. I didn't notice any strobes. If you follow the instructions and stare straight ahead you shouldn't have any problems.

I had big problems with Mission: Space, and I followed all the rules about looking straight ahead and never side to side, etc. I didn't have any trouble with claustrophobia, though I can see how someone with those troubles might. I know my mother would never be able to ride it, and she freaks out in elevators.

I got really motion sick, which is pretty rare for me, and extremely disoriented. I had to sit on the pavement for about 20 minutes to be able to start walking around again.

To be on the safe side, your wife should probably sit this one out. I don't recall any strobe lights, but there are a lot of flashing lights (small ones), and the claustrophobia thing would probably do her in. The seating area is quite small and there's no way out until the ride is over.
