Mission Space

We are headed to WDW in 2 weeks (Yay!). It will just be myself and DS12 for a few days before other family members join us. He is 12 but very small for his age (49inches). We have a fast pass for Mission Space - he has ridden several times before but always with someone else. I cannot ride this ride - have tried but got a little anxious once they strapped me in and had to get out before it started. Will they let me go through the line, help him in the seat area, then wait at the end or right outside the capsule for him? We do have FP for both of us.

that should be fine, just let the CM know before hand so that they can properly load the attraction with 4 riding people

I waited in line with my kids (9 and 11) for the orange version. I walked with them through the preshow, then I was able to stand right outside the door to the ride room. There is a bench out there, but it was being used by another party who were feeling a bit nauseous after riding.
