What is the diference between the "green line" and the "orange line" on Mission Space

:hourglass

The green line isn't that bad. I rode it for the first time about a month ago and was fairly impressed with it. I'll stick with the orange line from now on though. ;)

Without giving too much away...spinning versus non-spinning.

We rode it when it was being soft opened. The CMs called it the vomit comet. It has been toned down twice since, I believe.
By all means ride it. You've never done anything like it.
:thumbsup2

I hated Mission Space. Mostly because it made me really sick for a few hours and I couldn't enjoy the World Showcase. I have now learned that if a ride has to tell me 20 times before I get on that I may want to leave...then I'd better leave. Those signs aren't up for nothing. I haven't tried the less intense ride. And I must admit that I'm a little scared to. It was just a miserable experience the first time...when there was only one option. (I now take the Less Drowsy Dramamene, though. That may help...)

I did not ride Mission Space but my DH and 3 DS's did two times. First time on green and loved it second upped it to orange, DS's loved it DH was sick for many hours afterwards, too many G's I guess.

The green vs. orange must be a new thing. When I went last year, they did not have it. I was so worried about Mission Space after that child died on it shortly before we went. So my mom, sister and I all rode it first to try out. Well, we had no problem and suggested that my dad and son ride it. While my son hated the ride, but couldn't exactly place what he did not like about it. I think he said something like it made his head feel heavy. My dad got really sick. So I guess it depends totally on the person.

For us the difference was saving ourselves from a 50 minute wait in line by going down the green line! We had ridden Mission Space in its original form so we didn't mind trying the tamer version. All of us - including my 19 year old DS - still enjoyed it. We all said we really didn't feel we were cheated out of our experience at all. To tell you the truth we didn't notice that much of a difference! Two of us did feel kind of "different" after riding the original ride and we did appreciate not feeling that way after riding the toned down version. I think we'll probably always take the green line from here on out.

I felt light headed and just kinda "yuck" after riding it last year.

I think I'll follow the green line myself. :thumbsup2
