Mission: Space, official opening

With Mission: Space having been in a 'test mode' for the past few months, and it's 'official soft opening' scheduled for next week, August 15th, I thought I would post the Official Disney Link (if you don't as yet have it).

The 'official grand opening' is scheduled during the International Press Event for the "Magical Gatherings", the new 15 month celebration for WDW for the balance of '03 and all of '04. Get to know the attraction, go for a ride to interplanetary space!!!

I'm looking forward to riding this, from the initial reports I heard I thought it was going to be one of the most awful rides ever but after hearing from people who have been on it, it sounds like a lot of fun!

We were fortunate to be there the beginning of July when they were testing, and DH and DD got the chance to ride MS!! Disney sent me an email about MS and taking a tour through a link in the mail too!

I was on it on June 27th!!!! WOOHOO!! The guy at ToT in MGM told us they were doing test openings in the late afternoons and he said it was the most incredible thrill ride he'd ever been on. I'm not sure I'd say that but it WAS GOOD!

I DO know it is not for everyone...and they WILL warn and warn as you wait in line so don't be scared off by that! Some people WERE effected by the strong G forces, but this is one ride you will not want to miss!! DS got to go on TWICE since DH and I did a child swap with our younger ones...he thought he was REALLY controling the ride!
