Mission Space FP availability?

We reserved FP for our March trip this week. Most went as expected, with FOP being the most difficult to get (but I was able to get it for 4 people for 6:30 at 60+2.) One outlier that surprised me was Mission Space for Tuesday March 17. I was only able to get it from 6:30-7:30 for 2 people, and now there is no availability at all for that day (but all the other rides have multiple times available). Do you think this is just a result of Spring Break crowds? It is a EMH night for Epcot so we expect it to be crowded, but wow. Could there be other reasons? We do want to ride it, but really don't want to tie up a FP that late!

I think it's just the tiering at Epcot. MS is the top tier 2 option for a lot of people so it gets grabbed quickly. Just like Star Tours at HS.

Just curious though, when you didn't see any availability were you trying to modify the time of your existing MS FP? I just ask because if you were modifying anything else MS wouldn't show as available even if it was.

Yes, when trying to modify the time it shows none available, and on TP fastpass availability it shows all distributed.

As the PP said, Mission Space is a really hard FP to get because it is just about the only worthwhile tier 2 FP in the park.

I'll add that you often don't really need a FP for that ride, especially for the orange side and especially in the afternoon.

I've seen before where rides don't seem to get loaded correctly and ones you don't expect are not available but when you check back later in the day (or the next day) they are available. The tiering in Epcot hasn't changed recently and while MS can be harder than other tier 2s, it usually isn't hard (we often get it as an FP around 10 am on our 60+2 day). It's probably worth checking back over the next day or two.

That was my confusion, we've never had difficulty getting a FP for it before, and we've been several times with the current tier system. (although I agree with PP that we probably don't even need one!) Our window opened Thursday morning. I will keep checking for an earlier time. It just seems odd that there is absolutely no availability at any time of day, when there is still availability for all the other rides.

I've rarely had any trouble getting a FP for Mission Space as a 4th + FP.
