Mission: BREAKOUT! Question

I read that they change the story in Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! for Halloween. Is that all the time during August-October, or is it just at night on the Oogie Boogie Bash nights?

Every evening during Halloween season, but after 5 PM (I think). The Genie+ will have it as a new ride, so you can ride both versions.

I prefer riding it at night, so the first couple hours are too daylight-y for me.

It closes at 2pm and reopens as Monsters After Dark at 3pm. (On OBB nights, the park closes at 6pm.) Once the LLs run out for "normal", the Monsters After Dark ones will come available.

During Halloween Season:
Park open-2pm: GOTG:MB (normal version), you can get a LL with G+
3pm-park close: GOTB: MAD (Halloween version), you can get ANOTHER LL with G+

It is awesome to come at this time of year if you love GOTG, as you can ride each version once each day with G+! Just watch the return times in the morning and make sure you get a LL for GOTG: MB before they run out. Then watch return times for GOTG: MAD as well; I think you can book MAD LLs after 3pm, but maybe they allow booking between 2-3pm with return times after 3pm (I can’t remember that detail).

I thought they say in the info that Genie+ is not available during the party? So if I get Genie+ on a night I am going to a party, I have to book my LL for 5-6pm (assuming I am coming in at 3pm when you are able to come in early for a party)?

Yes - the LLs stop at 6pm (park close).

That is correct, no G+ during the party (after 6pm, yes G+ during the mix in 3-6pm last year). Will you be in DL earlier in the day? If you are in DL earlier, you can scan in there and book the LL for GOTG whenever the return time gets to 3pm or later. If you are not going to be in DL, and are just arriving at DCA at 3pm for the mix in, the issue you may run into is that by the time you scan into DCA and can book a G+, return times may be out for the day. And I am unsure if you can buy G+ with only a party ticket (which may not be what you are doing?)?

Yeah, we are not going to DL that day, doing DL the day before and staying up late there so sleeping in and arriving at CA at 3pm. Sounds like I should just not get G+ and just wait in the standby for the Monsters After Dark during the party. Hopefully the lines are shorter than during a normal day, thanks so much!

Agree, would not buy G+ for that one ride in the mix in, if you can even buy G+ for an OBB ticket (which I am not sure!). You can try riding MAD during the parade times, as many people will be watching that and the wait times for rides tend to drop.

Last year, we watched the first parade from the area in front of the Animation Academy. Then as soon as the last float passed, our teens jumped up and booked it down to GOTG. I think they waited 15 minutes.

Ahhhhh thanks so much yeah, this will be (assuming I can get a ticket for a date we can go) our first time going to OBB since it moved to CA park. Need all the tips I can get
