It's been over a month now, and I am really missing the place. I keep coming across receipts and pictures I fotgot about.

I am trying to talk DH into going now, he can't understand the draw of a place like that. He also thinks it's crazy to want to go again.

I should wait awhile longer. DD was just 2 when we went, and she learns more everyday. So our next trip will be more fun.

Just wondering how people deal with withdraw.

I'm currently going through withdrawal myself. We were there Dec. 14-23. I miss it. So does my DBF. We've both talked about when we'll be able to go again. I think that's the best way to deal with withdrawal - to plan another trip. Unfortunately, another trip is not in the plans for us at the moment. I wish we could head down over spring break, but I don't know that we'll have the time or the money. :sad1: I just hope it isn't another year and a half before we're able to go again.

The same exact thing happened to me. It took me a good 2 months to come off off my post Disney depression. I just love it there. Then I convinced dh to go in May vs. December and I'm in planning mode again.

Even if you aren't going for another year or even 2, you can still plan and enjoy everyone's trip reports on here. I love these boards for that.

dh thinks I'm wacky though.

Get that feeling the day I get home.

I have been feeling the same way since April 2006.............So i booked for January (we leave in 9 days) !! My DH doesnt understand the post disney depression either. He hasnt been there since he was 3 yrs old!!

I felt that way pulling away from the Beach Club the day we left!! I still feel that way! :sad1:

DW and I are in serious withdrawal, too. We're so depressed. It started December 16, the day we were to leave Wilderness Lodge, and hasn't let up since. In fact, the depression was stronger today.

It looks like we'll have to cancel our July Disneyland trip, too.

But we're hoping to find a way to make it back to WDW as soon as possible. It won't be until after summer at the very earliest, but hopefully it'll be less than two years away at the latest.

I hope our depression goes away in the mean time, but that we don't lose the memory echoes of the feeling of being in Disney.

Can you keep those memories and not be depressed that you're not there?

We just came back yesterday - did not want to leave.:sad1:

Miss Disney every day but at least we have these boards to share our love and memories. :)

To me, it begins when we close the resort door behind us.

I come on these boards and start envying everyone that is about to go.
I just can't help myself. Withdrawals are terrible.:lmao:

I need that 12 Step Program myself.

The DH complains that I talk about Disney World way to much, and he is in Iraq. I guess it keeps me from worrying about him everyday, every minute.

He doesn't understand the obsession either, but he started this when we went our first time this past July and made that comment that he would like to come back for 10 days.

So, I am planning 10 days in 2008 during Star Wars weekends. He loves Star Wars, so he can't say no!

We have been every 6 mos for the last 2 years and now my DH is saying no more for at least a year for us and longer for the kids. We are going in Nov 07 for DH 40th Bday ( just the 2 of us:hug: ). I am not sure how I am going to last that long, let alone the kids going longer without:sad2:.

The way we are handling is always think before you go... When are we planning the next one!? So begin looking at the dates, then start saving and planning ;) :cool1:

Oh the torture! The pure agony of it! Our family's last trip was 2003. We had another trip planned in 2005 but the night before leaving my son got sick:sick: So my in-laws went without us - I was just glad that he was still so young that he didn't know what he was missing. We're planning now for a trip this March, WOO-HOO! I hope we make it there!

I read the boards here everyday to stay sane (or insane, whichever you like:goodvibes ) and I plan for our next trip whether we actually have a trip planned or not!

I'm feeling your pain! We had such a good time over Xmas, just wondering when we will be able to go again.....:sad1:

Massive withdrawals here also! Not sure how I'll make it to September, and while I could go before then I'd rather save and plan for it to be a good trip at that time...I went twice last year and it spoiled me...I guess I can live with once a year. It's what i have to do in order to move (trying to save tons of money weekly) down there within the next few years..then I'll be at home near the world..I can't wait to say that!

So to keep from getting into major "No WDW" depression, just hang out here and plan another trip. Like another poster said, even if it is 2 years away, you are still planning and working towards it---the excitement will be that much stronger ;)

Thnaaw, I get WDW withdrawal symptoms really badly so I know how much that hurts! I find the best way to combat it is to videotape loads of stuff when you're there (especially shows). That way you can be excited about reliving it on the way home, instead of being sad. :wizard:

I'm in major WDW withdrawl, too, and we've only been home for 9 days! :sad1: We had such a wonderful time in WDW! It's going to be two years before we get to go back! :sad1:

I've been throwing myself into my trip report to try and help with the post-Disney depression. Stop by and say, "Hi!" when you can...:surfweb:
