Missing the old resort TV channel

Just curious if we are crazy or do other people miss the old resort channel that was the first thing always on the TV when you'd turn it on? We loved listening to that happy music while we were getting ready to go to the parks! We even hum it at home now. It was the channel that told you basic info about the parks and what was going on that day. There was a little origami thing that jumped around and made Disney shapes in between each section.

I know Disney has to change with the times just like everyone else, but man we miss that channel.

oh no, we loved the disney info channel at the resorts, i hope it comes back, we liked watching it in the morning too while we ate breakfast in our room.

I don't really care for the new park information program w/ the girls.
Does anyone remember back in the 80s when Jiminy Cricket used to host the show? That was my all time favorite. I wish you could buy those old videos.

A few months ago, I sent an email to WDW asking for the return of the Zippa Dee Doo Dah guy and his Park Hopper ticket buddy. It was a light-hearted email, but I told them that I thought that channel really "had it" in terms of getting you into the spirit of Disney. I urged them to re-think their choice & bring that back. Well..........

Last week, I got a call from the "Presidential" offices of WDW (goodness knows what that really meant...could have been the president of pencil sharpening for all I know). The woman told me that they have received similar emails in the past, but not really enough to warrant a change.

SO...with that in mind, all of you who feel bad about Disney abandoning that channel should consider emailing WDW soon.

The more emails they receive, perhaps they'll actually consider bringing it back!

I have spoken with two CM's from the Executive offices as well.....I think they actually DO sharpen pencils there....and return phone calls to tell people that basically there isn't enough of anything to warrant change that doesn't save them money, LOL.
