Missing the "Magic"

Every once in awhile I miss being on the Magic... What do you miss the most from on board?

On this poll I selected the afternoon ice cream.

I was going to say the horn at first. But everytime I receive an e-mail message on my computer here at home, I hear those 7 MAGICal notes of the ship's horn, and believe you me, I hear that quite a bit during the day. It got to be where I have to remember to turn my speakers off before going to bed, or we hear the ship's horn during the night. One night I forgot to turn the speakers off and my DW was walking past the computer during the middle of the night, just at that time the horn blasted and my DW nearly wet herself!!! Did I catch heck the next morning!!!

I don't think you can limit this poll to just 10 things. There are WAY more things to miss on either ship.

Personally I miss sitting in Sessions with headphones on, sipping a great glass of wine, watching the ocean and listening to "The Circle of Life".

Thanks VM, what a picture! I get that blasted feeling first thing in the morning at work, you know how you turn up the speakers a bit later in the day to compete with the noise that picks up during the day? First thing in the morning it blows you away! That hardly compares with that kind of surprise during your midnight stroll..

I miss nearly everything about the ship. My DD6 carefully lining up her exit of the bathroom before she hits that flusher then zoom, she's out of there like a shot!

I chose running to Mickey in the hall, just because I really miss that sort of unexpected Magic that grabs the kids (and me) by the heart...

I downloaded the ships horn that someone from the DIS had sent me, then went to the sounds file in my computer and set my e-mail to play that file whenever I get a new message. It's even getting to be when we have people come over and they here the horn blowing, they say, "Andy's got e-mail."

I miss the horn the most, but do have it saved as a .wav file so I can play it whenever I want. I'd much rather hear it while on board though!

I miss almost everything on your list!!!!!

I chose reading the Navigator at bedtime, though. To me, that means I'd be planning the next day's fun on the ship!

I voted for the ship's horn & my second choice was the sound of the toilet flushing, but my REAL first choice of what I miss the most is being on the verandah at night with my husband with the moonlight beaming on the seas & hearing the sound of the waves against the ship...............

I'd have to go for the walk on the deck. That's my absolute favorite. I'm not a big night club person, so that's the best time to walk the decks. I love to stand out on deck 10 at night and just listen.

I miss listening to a waiter describe the dishes available for dinner, and not immediately thinking, "He's trying to sell me the most expensive item on the menu!"

I miss looking out our Deck 2 porthole at the rushing water going by, and feeling an instant of vertigo!

I miss falling asleep in the breeze by the adult pool.

I miss towel animals.

I miss seeing the bathroom door pop open each time I flush the toliet!

DH and I do this together and it is our *romantic* time. We usually go into Sessions during the day when nobody is in there and take turns choosing songs to listen to together.

i miss the completly wonderful and magical feeling of just being on the ship. there are so many things to miss, the rainforrest, being catered to at meals, commradery of fellow passengers, deck 4 and a relaxing nap as the ocean goes by, being with my kids and sharing the whole adventure. i love and miss it all.
