Missing Dreams Ears

Last week I was able to gift a pair of dreams ears to a friend, TheRocketBoy. He received them and put them on. However, the next time he logged onto VMK the ears weren't on his head or in his inventory. Has anyone had this happen or have advice on how to get them back? He messaged VMK in the game a few days ago and hasn't heard back. He can't use contact us because he no longer has the email address he used when he signed up for VMK almost 2 years ago.

TheRocketBoy and I could really use some help. Thanks in advance. :goodvibes

Update: Rocket has his ears! I don't know how or when this happened, but his siggy says he has them. If some wonderful DISer gifted them to him or if an incredible host happened to hear of this, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Have him update his Disney Account and then he will be able to use the Contact Us Feature.

If he changes his email address on the Disney website, he may not be able to log into the game, since the address is his VMK user ID! I've heard of players losing their character this way.

In Contact Us, at the menu where an email can finally be sent, there's an option to specify an address for replies, and it doesn't have to be the one that was used to register. It's for communication purposes only, not for ID. The original registration ID is only needed to verify member status at the start of "Contact Us". There is no problem if the two addresses don't match.
 

When I moved to Arizona I changed my email provider and thus I changed my email at Disney. It just became my new log in. I lost nothing. The password and email became what I changed it to at disney and VMK. I have changed password and email at VMK with no problems.

Good to know - Perhaps the losses I heard about were due to deleting old email accounts, rather than updating them with a new address.

It would be great if the ears could somehow just show back up in his inventory but I don't know if that can happen or not.
 
I was sorry to hear this Surf. Still sending you luck for this to be figured out or for TheRocketBoy to get ears "again" soon. Hope this weekend brings ears to many!
