I knew I was missing it but this story/video really drive it home. I have been so moved attending the flag retreats a time or two both in MK and at DL.

Same scenario for us ....exactly! Pixie dust for the both of us!

We've been watching the Imagineering series on Disney + and it has even added to my homesickness for WDW. But it is such a great show.
The episode last night summed it up. One imagineer asked another imagineer, "What is this (Disney) all about? What we do?"
And the other imagineer stated, "It is for people to know that everything is okay."

Basically, that WDW is a refuge from the craziness of the world--an escape from reality.
(This was from a segment talking about the tsunami that occurred in Japan but was so apropos for today as well.)

Yes, I can't wait to go back to a world where it feels like everything is "okay."

I'm definitely feeling the lack of disney. We've already accepted our May trip will be cancelled. I guess it doesn't have me that upset because there are bigger issues at hand here than that I can't go to Disney world. It's about survival now for friends and family, and if we all survive the next few months that will be all that matters. Disney will come back - probably more expensive than ever!

I've subscribed to Disney + so I'm immersing myself in Disney movies until I can visit in person next February. Hopefully this will make us feel blessed and find joy in everything we took for granted before.
