Missing Castaway Cay

I was on the Disney Magic on the 11/07/01 cruise. Because of high winds, we were unable to dock at Castaway Cay. We spent another day at sea. I was pretty disapointed, as this was the one port I'd never been to, and wanted to see. Has anyone else ever missed a port? We are now going on the 9/21 sailing of the Magic, and I really hope we make it this time! Anita.

We missed CC on our very first cruise, due to it was right after Hurricane Hugo had trashed the island very bad. Stopped to offload supplies, but no visiting. Been back twice since then with no problems Havn't seen anything on here in a good amount of time of someone missing CC so they also may have become better experienced at docking there under more difficult situations. A good example would be that Barb & Tony have not missed visiting there in all their trips on the line, so, your chances are probably hight of making it this time

We missed in last April (2001) due to mechanical problems when we were in St Thomas.... we never left St Thomas until well after midnight (I think it was around 2AM), so there wasn't enough time to do CC at all.... but looking forward to finally getting there next year.

We missed Castaway Cay in September of 1999...Hurricane blew away the dock. We were also lucky enough to be at Disney the first time it was ever shut down since opening...same hurricane. Can you believe I can't remember it's name?

Anyway, I am going July 20th with sister and neice (DH wasn't willing to try again), and I'm really looking forward to spending the day at Castaway Cay!
