I have been thinking a lot about airplanes, luggage limits, and the things I'd love to bring with me, but can't. For example, and I know a lot of you will agree with me, a coffee maker so I can have decent coffee in the morning! Another example would be that I have naturally curly hair so my hair accessories are INSANE. Blow dryer, flat iron, curling iron, 3 or 4 different kinds of brushes, combs, clips...the list goes on and on. I keep telling DH "my hair is going to be curly in all the pictures, the kids aren't going to recognize me!" :rotfl:

What's something YOU wish you could bring with you on your trip, but can't?

Buy the ultimate Disney accessory-- a cute Mickey baseball cap!! Problem solved!!!!

oh I sure know what you mean, I would love to bring my own pillow and quilt and all the toys that my little ones love to sleep with.

We are shipping some of our stuff UPS ground. I figured if the airlines are going to charge us, shipping will be cheaper AND we don't have the hassle

I bring a pillow...just lay it across my clothes and zip the duffel bag shut. I was actually surprised that it fit so well!

For coffee, I always pack my own ground coffee from home and a few coffee filters for the hotel coffee makers...they most always take the round basket shaped filters, not the cone shaped ones.

As for the hair accessories, I've been known to wear a couple of braids at DL. Super easy and comfortable too. Just make sure to put sunscreen on the back of your neck, I learned that one the hard way :)

Have a great trip :goodvibes

Definitely our own pillows!!

We use the memory foam types, and our last trip, the Hojo pillows were way too fluffy for us. It was hard to get a good nights sleep.

Our trip in March, we are flying Alaska Airlines, and they charge for bags, so now we are going to go down to 2 suitcases instead of the 3 we took last year. So now we are going to be even more picky as to what we are bringing with us. And pillows definitely will NOT be taken (unfortunately).

We are having the same problem airline charging for suitcase so DH has decided no checked luggage:mad: just carry on's. I don't think he realizes the hazzle this is going to be with a 4 and a 2 year old.:sad2: Hoping he changes his mind and I can check one suitcase.

The pillow I managed to pack in my duffel with clothing is also a memory foam pillow, they compress down to practically nothing. It's worth a try to see if one will fit in your bag.

As Jack said, we drive so I bring what I want. My pillow is a must. lol I also always take my hairdryer even when they have them in the room because mine works better.

However, when we fly, we have taken our pillows as a carry on and I made smaller disney themed pillows for the girls the first time we flew. The kid still uses hers on her bed. lol

I'm a light packer anyway so the other stuff usually fits well enough in my suitcase and we normally fly SW (who doesn't charge for checked baggage) even though US Air/American West is our hometown airline.

My dh's credit card ;). He doesn't usually go with me.

At one time I would have said my pillow. Now--I'm ok with hotel pillows. They've come a long way (well, most places I've been lately).

I'm a minimalist now and I pack as little as possible, but I'm not taking little kids. My kids are old enough (6, 6, and 9) to handle their own carry-ons and they don't need much gear anymore, so it's a lot easier!

I like not bringing food, beverages, coffee, etc. It's much more of a vacation for me!
