And I have an almost identical photo of your churro pic of myself wearing a pink shirt and in the same location but I was facing the other way and I had Minnie ears on which I saw you got later too!

After the spin on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride it was time for another Disneyland exclusive : Storybook Land Canal boats. It was still pretty early so crowds were light. I waited about 10 minutes than boarded. This is one of the cutest attractions ever! There is a "narrator" on the boat that tells the story of each village you pass by. The sunlight was perfect for photos. I really loved all the details in the landscaping. All the plants are real and are cared for meticulously.

Right as I got off the boat, Cassie called and said she was ready. I made my way out of the park. We were headed to California Adventure!!

After Cassie called and told me she was ready to start her day, I walked back over to the hotel to meet up with her. We were on our way to DCA!! I had read that this park had been through a huge overhaul, so I was looking forward to seeing the park for the first time, including Carsland. Our first stop was the Starbucks inside the park. We both got iced green tea.​

We quenched our thirst and watched some performers outside.

It was a beautiful June day, but it was pretty hot. We decided to head to an attraction. We went on Soarin'. It was Cassie's first time. Actually, she had never been to DCA before. We both enjoyed it. It's the same film as the one in EPCOT but the queue is different. There are no interactive games and it is very heavy on air force memorabilia. Next we went on Little Mermaid. There was no wait!! A great change from my experience in New Fantasyland in Jan of 2013. Then we headed to Paradise Pier and went on California Screamin. It was a long wait in the sun but worth it. Very fun attraction. I recommend it if you are into coasters.

Next we decided to watch the Aladdin Musical. It was very well done. I would say same caliber as the Finding Nemo musical at DAK. Broadway quality costumes, sets, and performers. The theater was beautiful as well.

We had to leave the show a tad bit early to make it to our lunch at Carthay Circle, DCA's signature restaurant!​

I was really looking forward to our lunch at Carthay Circle and it did not disappoint. I was very diligent in taking food pictures this trip since I was part of Barb's (jabead on the DIS) ongoing live dining report. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous and has a nice Old Hollywood feel to it. Very fitting being so close to L.A. and whatnot. I tried to get a shot of the chandeliers.

To start we had bread service. I ordered a rose flavored soda. It came with an edible candied rose petal.​

For starter, Cassie and I shared potstickers. Cassie had a grilled chicken salad with maple glazed bacon for her entree. I had short rib and mushroom ravioli. Everything was delicious.

Some vintage toys that were released same time as Pinocchio. ​
