Hi - I have not been to Orlando in 10 years so pls forgive the dumb questions: do some of the universal/IOA rides have pre-shows that set up the ride? Do you miss this part if you use the express pass? We will be going early May, I don't know how bad the crowds are at that time....Thanks in advance.

I can't remember for all of the attractions but I know that you do miss some of the the pre show for Men in Black although you walk through it. You could always hang around and watch the film clip which sets up the ride first. I've often seen people waiting. The same applies if you use the single rider line. This can be a great option if you don't have to sit together although we have often ended up all riding togther.
I don't think you miss any of shrek.
Hope this helps

You tend to mis queue lins rather than pre-shows. For example, you won't miss the (wonderful) pre-shows at Terminator and Shrek.
