Miss California - You're Fired!

The thing that cracks me up is that they have Shannon Moakler as the co-director for the Miss California pageant. She's a skank of the first magnitude. I can't imagine why any woman would want to be a part of that organization.

Are beauty pageants relevant anymore? Is this negative publicity an attempt to stir up interest in the winner? Does anyone care anymore?

Shana quit after they allowd Prejean to keep her crown, a few weeks ago. The whole thing is just one big faked tanned, make-up gooped, gallons of Aqua Netted train wreck!!:scared:

LOL!!! Don't hold back/:rotfl: Seems like they're in it for the money, eh?

I loved her answer:

I love that in America we can choose, but I think marriage should be between a man and a woman.

Yet another rocket scientist.

Aren't her 15 minutes of fame up yet? I was sick of this story the day after it broke. Not sure why I clicked this thread to tell the truth.:rotfl:

Maybe in the next contest they can tell the girls the questions they will be asked and the answer they should give. Don't go outside the box. Keep the questions very basic. The show is a joke. The story behind this firing is a joke. Everyone involved should look at their own lives. Who on the panel is fit to judge anyone??????

Good riddance to the little hypocrite.

I do think her answer could have been said better. Part of being in public like that is to know how to say answers in a non-offensive manner. She could have said "I feel the choice should be left up to each separate state and not the country as a whole." But to say that we have choices here (which in general we do not have the choice to marry) and then say she doesn't think it should be that way, just showed her immaturity in addressing the public.

I do think she should be fired though. To skip out on her job as Miss Cal. to persue personal speaking engagements was just cause for me.

How is she a hypocrite? She said what she felt. Should she have lied?

The hypocrisy was in her statement that people in our country have the right to choose. But she doesn't feel that they should have the right to choose whom they marry...only apparently the right to choose their opinion??

I seriously doubt she was fired by her answer at the pagent. I would be willing to bet that her new found fame and work offers played a bigger part in getting her removed.

Her stance on gay marriage is not what I was referencing when I said that she was a hypocrite. If she doesn't support gay marriage, for whatever reason, then that is fine. I certainly have no problem with her having an opinion and sharing it, doesn't mean we have to agree.

What I have a problem with is the lying. She took racy pictures. They are all over the Internet. Half naked, no bra, parts showing that, I would assume, someone of her high moral ground would not flaunt in a picture to be distributed for publication.

Yet, she kept these pictures from the pageant officials, which was totally against their rules. So, the pictures hit the net and she immediately goes into CYA mode and starts lying. Blaming it on the photographer, the wind, a wardrobe malfunction. Whatever. The point is, she allowed (and if you look at the pictures you can tell that it wasn't the "wind" that did it) and approved the pictures. Then lies about them.

Oh, but then the real winner of the pictures of her appears. I don't think the wind stripped her down to just her underwear. :rotfl:

She took them, own up and quit lying. Blame on bad judgement but at least be honest. Isn't Miss California, Miss, USA or whatever she is, supposed to be honest? Isn't she supposed to project good values?

That is why I was calling her a hypocrite.

Had she answered any other question but the gay marriage one she would not have been a thought. Pictures of her nude would have be overlooked. I could careless about any of it. The world is so far gone that Miss California is the least of our problems. But let us be real here. The reason she was let go was because of her answer. Dress it up any way you want. " It is what it is."
