Hi All. Two random questions:

1. Does the POS allow DVC to change the cancellation policy of 31 days or booking with holding points within 60 days? I ask because the cancellation policy for regular reservations is increasing from 5 to 8 days.

2. How can DVC put DVC rooms from sold-out resorts on sale on the CR website more than 7 months out? They are allowed to sell sold-out villas prior to the 7month window?

Hope my random thoughts make sense.

I have a random question. What does POS stand for? Point of Sale? Piece of S—?

Disney own at least 2-5% of the points at every resort. The cash units are representative of both those points, and points Disney acquire via trades (cruises, Disney collection, etc.). As owners of the points, they can get units well before 7 months, just as you can.

Yes they have the right to change the holding period. Thst is part of the home resort rules and regulations which DVCMC gets to set.

As mentioned, DvD retains points at every resort and those can be rented for cash.

When Owners who trade out for cruises, ABD, etc , rooms are pulled from DVC inventory and those are offered for cash to pay for those trades

And, rooms not booked by 60 days out can go, but DVC has the right to anticipate that and pull rooms sooner.

All of those lead to cash DVC rooms.
