This will be my first trip to Las Vegas. I'm traveling with my parents and we'll be visiting my brother who lives there. My sister and her husband are flying in from Oklahoma, so it will be a mini family reunion "Vegas Style". I'm the only one in the bunch that has any desire to visit the Grand Canyon (parents have been there numerous times, sister has no desire to see it). The trip is a short one Oct 6-10, but I'll have one full day that I could break off and get this done.
Obviously a bus trip from our hotel (The Mirage) would be the most economical and convenient. However, I've read reports that your entire day is spent on the bus. I've done a little research into the helicoptor and small aircraft tours, but with my WDW vacation immediately following finances are tighter than usual. I'm hoping to hear from someone that has done the bus tour, or any GC tour from Vegas. How much did it cost? Was the experience worth it once you got there? Could you imagine doing something like that solo?
