Miracles do Happen!

I've had the winter blues for quite a while for several reasons. This winter has been brutal for us in Rochester, NY. It seemed like every day in January I was shoveling snow and cursing Mother Nature! Then it was the coldest EVER February on record and the fourth most snow of any February on record.

Also......... my wife and I had decided to not go to Walt Disney World in 2015 and save the points from our two little contracts and maybe..... just maybe go to Aulani once again.

Well....... I had seen enough in early January I made the decision to go to WDW in April using our SSR points. We love staying at the Boardwalk Villas, our other home resort, but they were already booked for all views. So we booked a studio at OKW and wait listed BWV Standard View Studio. Good luck with that, right?

Yesterday DVC notified me via email that our waitlist for BWV Standard view studio had come through with just 40 days until arrival. I couldn't believe my eyes. I even checked my Disney Experience App on my phone..... and yes..... it showed up there too!

So don't be afraid to waitlist any of your wishes..... miracles do happen!

We are in Rochester too. We have about three feet of pristine snow in our yard because it's been too cold to go outside and play in it. I wouldn't mind the snow if we could at least go enjoy it. Congrats on your boardwalk reservation. We are hoping our bwv standard view will come through for July, but we know it's a long shot.

New Hampshire here....snow up to our eyeballs! I've been on a ladder on the roof, breaking up ice damns for three weeks now. It's finally getting some melting in today! Disney isn't until November but Virginia in May and Canada in July. Breaking up the months until the MAGIC HAPPENS! Enjoy your stay; I'm sure it will be Magical!

Good for you! Waitlists have worked for us for our April trip. We decided to book just at the end of January. We too got BWV, and after 2 waitlist matches, we are in pool view studio, I have a 3rd waitlist, that one for Boardwalk view!

So much has changed at Aulani since we were there in 2012. I want to get back to see the sunsets and enjoy the views.

We might try for spring of 2016 when we have some more points built up from our two little contracts.

But for now....... we are really..... really...... going to enjoy our Boardwalk Villa stay in just 37 days!

Yes, lots has changed at Aulani since our first visit in September 2012. We returned in October 2014 and enjoyed the Ka Maka Landing with its infinity pool and hot tub and Ulu Cafe. We just booked our third trip to Aulani earlier this week. If all goes according to plan, we'll be at Aulani February 1 - 9, 2016. We might tweak our dates once the airlines begin releasing their schedules and prices for that period. In the meantime, here are a couple more Aulani photos to help remind you of life in the warm sunny tropics:
