MIRACLE...new dvd..

has anyone seen this? my mom just bought the DVD tonight and i was going to watch it tomorrow..just wanna know what e veryone thinks about it!

I saw it in the theatre, and loved it. Even though I knew how it ends, I cried when I saw it. Very well done movie.

I picked up the DVD earlier this week. At best buy, for an extra $2 you could pick up a documentary about the Miracle on Ice team, so I got that as well.

I saw it in the theater and decided that it would be a great addition to my DVD collection, so I bought it. The movie was very well done. In fact, I not ony watched the movie yesterday, but I also saw the "Making of MIRACLE" that was on the DVD, and that was very interesting, seeing how the movie was filmed. I really enjoyed it, especially since I not only saw the real thing happen live, but at the time, my older brother was playing hockey, so I was very familiar with what was going on in the movie.

I watched it but there was no footage of team Canada so it isn't worth buying to me hehehe. I like how they adopted the CANADIAN and RUSSIAN schools of hockey though atleast they knew good hockey and chose to use the best countries styles hehehe J/K it was an ok movie but I do not plan on owning it as I am sure it will be a big seller in the US but don't see it selling to terribly well in Canada. I though they did a great job getting the equipment from that era of the game almost bang on with the exception of the skates but I really do not know anyone that would want to wear the skates from back in 1980.

I absolutely loved it, of course. The bonus features were pretty cool, seeing how the boys auditioned as if they were trying out for a real team and how they were similar to the actual US players.

I actually just rented it last night, and LOVED it!! I cried too....



The guys were kinda cute...expecially Jack O'something....he was my favorite!

Actually not all of them were Canadian...most of the main characters on the team are US boys My friends who are on our school's team played with a couple in Juniors.

Echoing the comments of others, I enjoyed the movie...don't think I'd buy it, but I would rent it. I buy to many movies as it is...

EP I think they said something like 7 of the main cast were US born players but the majority of them were from Canada and it was sort of run like an actual hockey try out I heard kinda cool actually that way you do not get the horrid actor hockey players like some movies like Youngblood etc they were really bad.

I enjoyed the movie especially since it had cute hockey player boys in it and because i am a big hockey fan. HUGE hockey fan. Kurt Russell does an excellent job in his role. I couldn't tell it was him. However, the storyline was quite predictable regardless of this being a true story. Even some of the lines were so obvious before i even heard them come out of the actors' mouths.

I did like the extra features on the DVD though. Bloopers and how the movie was made...all that was fantastic.

Lots were from Canada, there were lots of extras in the movie, I'm just saying that the main boys who got all the camera time, the majority of them are American

If you watch the bonus features on the DVD with all of the guys and what roles they played every single one of them said it was just like trying out for a team rather than auditioning for a movie, which is pretty cool.

Ya I never saw the bonus features but I thin it is cool that they ran it like an actual try out for a hockey team made for better hockey games during the movie and after all it wasn't about the movie it was about watching hockey hehe. Well for me it was anyhow I like to watch hockey movies to see how good or bad they actually do as I stated before with the movie Youngblood and a few others they had really terrible hockey sequences in them atleast with this one it was good hockey.
