Do all the characters walk around during the meal, or do we meet Goofy first, and then meet the rest as they walk around? If it is the latter, is there a photopass person for the Santa Goofy meet? Thank you!

We went two years ago and are going again near Thanksgiving. I assume it is still the same: Goofy is at the entrance and there was a photopass photographer there. They also took pictures with our camera. The other characters come around to your table. I think we were there long enough to see a couple of the wandering characters twice.

Last year they gave us a slip of paper that was kind of a "ticket" to go meet Santa Goofy and get your photo taken. I liked it that way because you could get a bit to eat and then go up whenever you felt like it. The other characters made the rounds. We thought the character interaction there was very good and we had plenty of time with them all.

I like that! I hope they do that this year too.

Is Santa Goofy still very close to the entrance, or did they move him to a different spot? I felt bad two years ago - you could see Santa Goofy from outside and people were coming up to the restaurant hoping to see him/get a picture, but you couldn't without a dining reservation.

Still close to the entrance, at least that was the case when Minnie was there for Halloween. That's just the best spot for the backdrop I guess. They also gave us a card to meet with her, which was better than waiting in a line before eating like we did on our first trip for Goofy. We met with her after we ate instead. The other characters came around twice. I love H&V and I think it's the one character meal we are likely to repeat since the other dining options at HS don't really appeal to us.

I second this. I love H&V for the Mickey and Friends character experience, not to mention the cute theming. And I don’t think the food is half bad! I saw about a month ago they had some sort of pumpkin dish and a squash dish (seasonal offerings), I’m really hoping they’re still there when we eat here in 16 days!
