How is it?
I've had lunch at H&V before for DJ so I know the food is just meh.
But the costumes the characters wear for Minnie's Seasonal Dine in the Fall are adorable!!!
My son would love that.
Now am determined to fit it into our Oct trip plans. Lol.
We're doing a short trip - MNSSHP Friday and Sunday.
MBBBQ and Sleepy Hollow event at FW Saturday.
Sunday I had no plans before MNSSHP other than rest and pool.
So I booked a 1pm lunch at H&V.
Maybe we'll use a FP for TSM and then take bus direct to MK.
We have APs so can get into MK before 4.
Do you think it's worth all that effort?
This is my costume so I think I should be fine at HS right?

It's $50 an adult. We went last night. The food was better than it has been previously but for $50 an adult it was NOT worth it. I'm guessing the outrageous price tag is because there are five characters instead of the usual 3-4.

With Tables in Wonderland, I spent $90 on myself and my child for dinner. The food is basically cafeteria food. The characters came by quickly and we were in and out in about an hour.

As you know the food is just ok (although perhaps better than before according to above poster) BUT the costumes are great!! It's really nice it's the fab 5, and the costumes make it very festive!! I vote yes!!

(We are doing the Xmas dinner in November, solely for the character outfits lol)

We went right when the dinner buffet opened. The food generally tends to be better when it opens. The pumpkin soup was really good.

I will also add that my four year old thinks this is the best place in all of WDW. She liked it more than Chef Mickeys, 1900 Park Faire, and Garden Garden Grill (her other favorites). We went here as a special treat because she's still very upset over the hurricane and having to miss Disney on Ice last weekend.

After so many trips to WDW and having pics with all of the characters numerous times, I wanted some with different costumes. The costumes WERE adorable, and it was nice to have Fantasmic seating. The food, however, the worst we have ever had at a sit down WDW restaurant.

It's unfortunate that the food is not very good because the costumes are adorable. The first time we had dinner at H&V was for Minnie's Seasonal Dine. We had one of the latest reservation times and it was awesome. As the restaurant was clearing out, the characters were still mingling. Each one of them came to our table at least twice and lingered! The character interaction was great. Mickey insisted that I take a selfie with him (my first selfie ever!). The characters even all got together while we were leaving for a group photo. It was probably our best character meal ever! If my kids weren't considered adults (they will be 10 & 11 on our next trip) we would go every time. Buffets just aren't worth it at this point. My profile pic is from one of our H&W visits!

We went when it first started and was Minnie's Holiday Dine. Having the Free Dining Plan helped justify it for us, but we also thought the food was better than the other buffets we had on that trip (Crystal Palace and Tusker House). I would have strongly considered it for this trip if we weren't already doing Garden Grill.

I thought the seasonal dining was only during dinner and the Disney Junior characters were at lunch. Has this changed? If so, I may look for a lunch reservation for December!

Nevermind, it is lunch AND dinner. Yay, plans are now changed!

I have a question. For those who have been, does the menu change for the Seasonal Dine? It is our kids favorite location, but they are very picky eaters and like the mac and cheese plus the nuggets. I noticed on the web page that they changed the desserts and some of the entrees to be "halloween" type.

Do they still server the staples or is it a whole new menu?

Thanks,

We were there on Sept 5th and the mac/cheese and nuggets were definitely there. ....and I do not find the food to be bad or meh. Some of the entrees and salad were delicious! I don't do seconds very often, but I did that night. ...and the Halloween desserts are nummy and very cute!
