Minnie's holiday dine or Tusker House?

My roommate and I are trying to decide where to have Christmas dinner. We've gotten reservations for both Minnie's holiday dine and Tusker House. While characters are a bonus, I'm more interested in how good the food is (especially if there is chocolate/dessert involved). I've been to Tusker House but it's been quite a while, and I remember it being decent, but am wondering if I can get input :-)
Thanks! :santa:

We did the Minnie's dine at Hollywood this October and we were pleasantly surprised how good the food and characters were. We loved it. We have done TH many times for breakfast and love this as well, however we have not done it at dinner. I think you would be happy with Hollywood and Vine, we sure were. I had been there 5 years ago and the food was not as good as this time.

I'm on opposite from the op. We found very rushed at Minnie's Halloween dine in September. The characters flew right through us and wouldn't even give me 3 year old time of day. Mickey Mouse even got upset because he touched his nose and walked away. Tusker house was amazing for us. The characters were awesome and took time for us to take pictures although this could only be because it wasn't crowded. But we liked the food at both places.

We just did H&V and had a great meal - food was good to very good and characters were wonderful. They each came by twice and took their time with the kids and took lots of pictures. We had a 3:15 reservation, and they open for dinner at 3 so maybe earlier is better for that?

We were underwhelmed with TH dinner last year so we didn't do that again.

The food at Tusker House dinner is quite good, actually! Don't miss the curries or the salmon.

I think it comes down to a matter of tastes. Tusker House isn't full-blown ethnic, but it definitely has inspirations from global flavor. Holiday Dine is going to be more pedestrian fare.

We were at both restaurants mid-November. Hollywood and Vine was more rushed with the characters than Tusker House. We liked the food at both, but I think the dessert selection is better at Hollywood and Vine.

It's been a couple years for TH for us but we enjoyed it. We just did H&V last week and it was so fun. DH and I both thought the food was great for a buffet. I don't remember a lot of chocolate but the little desserts I had were so yummy! The characters were wonderful, we had plenty of time with them but the restaurant didn't look too packed so maybe it'll be different when it's crowded.

We just ate dinner at TH Thanksgiving week and it was delicious. And the flourless chocolate dessert was by far the best dessert we had all week, including Cali Grill.
